The question!

What do you think of Prussia's character? Does he have any weaknesses? Does he like girls or boys or just nobody or anybody?

I'm asking this because I don't even know what to think of Prussia....<___<' I see a lot of fans for him. So I want to know why y'all love him so much.

Prussia says he's awesome, and there are many ways in fanart/fics/doujin that portray him as awesome...but maybe it's just the way I read/saw the fanworks.

I'm kind of relieve to find out someone doesn't know what to think of him either...this might shock the Prussia fans XD

_{thinking of the opium wars makes me sad but it`s rather interesting how you drew it, what with the flowers being so innocent and yet. . .
as far as Prussia goes, the reason I like him (and I`m not even that big of a fan, China is always no.1, but I do like him) is that in his personality is that even when his situations or other countries get him down, even as it is historically displayed in strips, he refuses to stay down and typically lets it fly over his head and continue triumphantly. Some say it`s ignorance but I think it`s a much more heroic stragety.}

His heroic stature and optimism? He is confident about himself. XD Is there anything that might strip his optimism? That's what I don't know. :\ I know he has great confidence with his declaration of his awesomeness...

Being someone who roleplays his character a lot, I tend to portray/see Prussia as being your characteristic big-ego guy. He's loud and brash and borderline obnoxious, but left alone to himself pretty lonely/insecure.

He has a weakness for cute things, Hungary's frying pan, and as we see in Oresama no CD, N.Italy, too. He also hates Russia and makes a hobby out of annoying Austria.

I could go into a longass character profile, but sticking to what I can gather from canon, that's Prussia in a nutshell :3

p.s. I guess you could also list Frederich II (the Great) as one of his weaknesses too, since he holds a great fondness for the late King and in Himaruya's early character descriptions says that Prussia gets depressed when he gets thinking about Ol' Fritz..

Ah, so THAT'S where Prussia/N.Italy came from! I have to check that out! ^_^

I thought that pairing started because some people just liked the thought of two brothers fighting over the "girl".

Oh, thank you for the info! Hm, most of what I know about Prussia are from the fanart/fic/doujins, friends, and some cute Prussia and Hungary strips from when they were little!

yeah, it's pretty obvious Prussia has a crush on N.Italy in the ORESAMA blog/cd. He even goes so far as to ask the guy on a date, which Italy totally doesn't notice at all. I would probably venture to say that Prussia may be a bit bisexual, since he also dreams about Hungary in the same thing... but officially Prussia's "very good at avoiding marriage" so he's sadly one of those characters who I feel is doomed to be alone :C

No problem, he(and Russia) are my top two favorite characters and I've seriously dug up everything I can about them, hehe. I love him mainly because of his dual-nature of being so tough and loud and chugging beer while on the side he's totally kinda depressed and holds an affinity to cute fluffy animals and stuff, haha.

I love this pic! Usually I think texture spam is a bit of an overload, but in this case it's perfect!

On pixiv UK/China has been garnering an increasing number of fans, there is even a tag for that combination now. 好茶組 it's a pun on the 2 (black)tea drinking countries.

I love Prussia. He has many weaknesses... so much that I'm really amazed when he does something cool lol. His biggest charm point I would say, is that his ego is so inflated but really he is such a pitiful and lonely character. Even in his most pitiful state he will still make comments to defend how cool he is. For example his popular line "it's too fun being alone". Sometimes he is crying while saying this with a smiling face XD

I think of him as the guy who tries to be manly and awesome, but deep down he's just a sad little man who wants a hug and someone to kick back and drink beer with.
To me, everyone in Hetalia is bisexual, but I think Gilbo is too socially awkward/egotistical to get a girl/boy. But when he does like someone, he makes it known, but they're usually like "Ew no way ur a dick lol" to him.

Well, canonically he is pretty lonely and pathetic...in one of the Christmas things he was crying to himself and saying something along the lines of "Oh, I'm so happy being alone on Christmas! There's nobody to bug me! I'm so awesome!" It just screams socially awkward to me.

Prussia: boasts his awesomeness (very huge ego), but has a real weakness for cute things and animals (he has stuffed toys in his room). He has a small crush on Italy (maybe because Italy is uke or something).

He laughs a lot and loud. When he is sad, he laughs even harder (like when he spilt some ice-cream on his laptop or when he was alone at Christmas, while on street there were couples everywhere).

Futher: he is kind of greedy when it comes to conquering lands, once he joined hands with his enemies (Austria and Russia), just to split Poland up, each getting their share.
