Well, first of all...
A fun fact:Did you know we've reached
over 3000 members? That's 1000 more than back in early November! And that means a growth of 50% of the original population since then.
That said, I wanted to remind everyone of a few rules of this community, pertaining what is considered a
spam post and
request threads.
A simple rule of thumb, established some months ago, was that all posts should be Hetalia related. Not merely historical, geographical, or tangentially connected to Hetalia. It inspired the second of the rules on the community profile. Recently, however, there's been three posts that more or less went "I just found this on wikipedia and I thought it was funny", or "National Geographic fun facts". Though
interesting, these are not Hetalia-related posts. They are best suited for such communities as the historically oriented
nationslash, or perhaps
lolsogeographicSo you're wondering, "agh, why this complication?" "Why not just let everyone post anything?" The answer is if we open these flood gates, the community will rapidly fill up with material that has little to do with Hetalia, and the mods would have to be picking out what's relevant and what isn't with pincers, a relativity we cannot afford.
Then there's the matter of
requests:This isn't a request community. It's a
sharing community. If there's something you want, you have to give a little first. Furthermore, art or fiction requests are better suited for the
surprisingly tame
hetalia_kink meme, or you may want to open a Hetalia Requests community, if you're worried association with the kink meme isn't something you want in your life.
mumumugen, mod out... fabulously! ♥
