It's the same with roman languages i think. It's not about A or O (because there are many exceptions), it's mostly because of the article that goes behind (the water, it depends on which genre 'the' is. El is for males, La is for females and Le is for neutrals). The same goes for french and italian.

But yes,in the easy way, most words that ends with an A are for females and with an O are for males. Also, if you change the genre of a word you may be changes the meaning. Like pollo (chicken) and polla (dick).

because he's totally fabulous~!!

... or mote ('nickname'), mota ('spot' in Spain, 'cocaine' in Mexico) and moto ('motobike'), el cámara (the photographer) or la cámara (camera, or room), el cura (the monk) and la cura (the cure), el papa (the pope) or la papa (potato. That just happens in latin-america), la corte (the court) or el corte (the scar)...

and a lot more. People, i don't recommend you to learn spanish, ever, in your life. English is easy lucky bastards.

U go grrrfriend~! ♥♥♥

FRENCH IS WORSE. BELIEVE ME. If is a male word, you don't

Noir (male, black) would be Noh-ah (you don't say the final 'r')
Noire (female, black) would be No-ah-G (well, not exaclty G but the french R. You don't say the final E but the final consonant before the E. So it would sound like the male version should sound, but it doesn't).

It's such a small difference, that you can't really tell. In spanish is just A and O.

They're liek... ice-cream and cheese-cake! Or... french fries and hamburgers! or... toast and peannut butter! ♥♥♥ i've got one too :3
