[Q &A] Is this character Hong Kong?

In this soccer sketch from Himaruya's blog, is the character on the right Hong Kong together with Sealand and UK? He seems to have a different hairstyle from his usual long shaggy cut though.

I don't think it's HK, the hair... in Hetalia the countries never really change their hair and even if they do, it's usually back to how it usually is before long.

This was brought up a couple of months ago and there were some people saying it could be Singapore. It makes sense considering England and Sealand are there, and his eyebrows seems a bit "cursed" haha.

It may very well be Singapore ;^^ I was putting random blog posts of Himaruya's through Google Translate the other day, and in a Q&A someone asked if there would be more Asian characters. Himaruya's answer was that he was designing/had designed characters for Mongolia, Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand.

Vietnam and Mongolia have appeared in the old "lost" doodles, as has Thailand, it would seem (though he became public earlier this year). I don't think we've ever officially seen Singapore though, so perhaps the mysterious kid there is him. He could be the unidentified chibi in the Asian Nations group sketch too (the one behind the elephant).

Hopefully a design sheet will be posted for Singapore someday soon, though!

The Japanese fandom think he is little Hong Kong, but they're not sure about it either. ^^;

Ve Ve. I was hoping it's Singapore but after thinking about it, he may not be. Cos if you ask me, Singapore would be more western-like, wearing a businessman suit maybe or just some random not chinese clothing like a tie and jeans and blah blah blah. I should know, I'm a Singaporean chinese and I so do not like wearing chinese clothings. Plus Singapore should wear glasses. You have no clue how many Singaporeans need to wear glasses..... I'm one of them.... *sigh*

All in all. Srsly hope Singapore will pop up in Hetalia soon! Can't wait!

I think it might be Spain, as Spain is currently attempting to buy Sealand (last I checked he ways anyways)

Hum, by speculation I think it may be a younger HK. The hair, the eyebrows being slightly elegant, and his shirt really looks like the clasped Chinese style shirts (forgive this fan for not knowing the definite name)

It's younger HK, I'm guessing during the time he was taken by England.
But I'm not sure if Sealand was around during that time...
