Question: Russia's "koru"

Hope this is okay, and hope this hasn't been asked &answered before.

In the Japanese fanvideos and what not, I'm constantly seeing "コルコルコルコルコル" (korukorukoru...) following Russia around.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IT MEANS?

I asked my Japanese friend but she has no idea and thinks they made it up :(
Is it one of those crazy internet things? Or am I just missing something?!

It's been driving me crazy for a while now......especially because I love saying it........
@_@ Thoughts?

Umm, as incentive a gift, I give you a dorky little panel that I felt the urge to color &scanlate from this comic. Only because Russia's expression is too adorable 8D

Lithuania asks Russia what he dreams of.

Thanks in advance!

Youko was right about the Kolhoz. XD Snaps. Beat me to it.

It ended up being like his laugh or something though. Or IDK some sound he generates when he wants to be creepy. XDD

"Generates" makes it seem (to me, at least) like it actually follows him and grows louder when he's acting creepy.

...Like some sort of audible body odor, but instead of smelling more and more rank as he sweats, he just gets a chorus of 'korukorukoru' that gets louder and louder as he gets creepier.

That is the best explanation of that concept ever. X'D

:D!! Maybe it is the sound of "Russia" coming out of his body? He IS a country holding lots of people.

Your analogy amuses me. XD
