[Fanart] Russia/China & Sunflowers + Sketch Dump

Honestly, I'm not quite sure why this pairing intrigues me so much.... though there are Russia's friendly overtures with China, and China occasionally being all "... YOU'RE SUSPICIOUS." Unfortunately, the vodka bottle had to be sacrificed in the colored version (it was there in the original sketch...) Full-size and extended artist notes available on DevArt.

The rest of these were all doodled on the back of class handouts/lecture slide printouts. Which should explain the random text-shadows if any? :D;;


First attempt at China...


I blame Red Cliff for throwing me back into a Dynastic Period mood. Completely BS-ed the costume the proportions everything, as always. Somehow spilled coffee on him too. OTL

Figured I should branch out of the Asian countries (and Russia), and give America a go... didn't mean for it to be all angsty/emo, but the economic crisis is all that really comes to mind lately when thinking of "USA" lately h-hahaha...

*butting in, 'cos that's how I roll* That fanartist is Trasoquilizer (http://trasoquilizer.web.fc2.com), she/he/them do the best Asian family stuff, IMO.

Also, China would swoon so damn hard if Russia gave him a bouquet of Sunflowers and a Tibet. You wouldn't even need any scorpions. China is a cheap, cheap date.

Just like China to use kids to get his gold. And I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge Tibet is some sort of gnome.
