Yush, God is usually referred as 'vous'. The 'Our Father' , as an example, is in the formal form. =D
FOOD FOR THOUGHT #2: In german, he's addressed with 'du', the non-formal form.

lol, I have no idea either. In fact, I was watching this musical in German a while ago, and it was rather strange because this prisoner addressed this police inspector as "du" as well. I suppose it was to sound, sort of, with a "I look down on you" tone.

I didn't know that Spain and France were brothers, but well, maybe we don't know it cause Spain doesn't appear much (is what happens when during WWI and WWII, they were too busy killing to eachother inside Spain)..
