Hetalia Anime returns with The World Twinkle!

The January issue of Gentosha's Monthly Comic Birz magazine is announcing on Saturday that production on the anime Hetalia The World Twinkle has been green-lit. The magazine proclaims, "Hetalia's eagerly anticipated new series launches!!" Monthly Comic Birz will start unveiling new information in the following issue.
The new season will be titled Hetalia The World Twinkle.

Man, I wish I had an icon of a certain tokusatsu Emporer of Darkness right now, he loves shiny, sparkly things, he would love The World Twinkle... (g)

On a serious note, I wonder how the adaptation licensing was set up, since the new Hetalia stuff is with Shueisha, but Gentosha's announcing the anime. Granted, there may not have been enough World Stars material yet for it, and there is still older material that could be adapted iirc, but the anime title does tie in well with the new manga title (and now I have the Japanese version of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" in my head...).

On a less serious note, I wonder how long it'll take for FUNimation to license it, since I would be shocked it they didn't. (g)

Well, the name takes some getting used to, I guess (a friend already keeps accidentally misreading it as "tinkle"), but as long as we get some new episodes, they can name them whatever they want. ^^

Fangirling with only fanmade materials kinda suck. So I'm truly happy that they have another season waiting~ :D

The name is kind of funny. But I kind of like it, too
Since it's Gentosha, I'll speculate that it won't contain any of Shueisha's Hetalia World Stars. Just stuff from the other volumes.

I'm so excited for this! :D I got back into Hetalia recently because of these news and some djs. It was fun re-watching the older seasons. Hopefully it will be simulcasted with English subs :D
