Hetalia: The Beautiful World DVD Coming Out in Summer 2014

With Funimation having the rights to the Hetalia series, they just announced that The Beautiful World season will come out Summer 2014!

The boys are back and will be hitting shelves on DVD in summer 2014! If you’re not familiar with the show, here’s a quick synopsis for you.

synopsis:

The Allied guys and Axis boys are back in Hetalia: The Beautiful World! It’s Season 5. As in high-five! And when we high-five, a tiny kitten appears with a wee banjo! And he’s playing a song about a cupcake and it’s freaking adorable! But then Prussia shows up and yells at the kitten. But the kitten doesn’t get sad, because, dude… Claaaassic Prussia.

Yes, they are. Just like the previous seasons before.

Most likely the same cast used for them, with recasting the VA for Seychelles, since the previous actress, Cassandra Hodges, died at age 28. Which is sad to remember since she died so young.

Plus they're really off topic and don't really talk about the show at all? It's like someone went on a sugar rush and just went on a tangent bein' all 'lol RANDOM' but eh...

Maybe the new art style will draw people in more so than the synopsis :D

I realize that Hetalia is silly and weird and doesn't really have a plot outside of "world history and international relations on crack" (if that can even be considered a plot), but that description was just random.

I'm really surprised that they didn't even mention the new animation style, or at least make a reference to something that actually happened this season.

I'm just hoping that all of the extra episodes (including the upcoming Nyotalia episode) will be included.
