Fic Search- Disapearing Countries

Hi! I've been looking for a fic in which the nations had dissapeared, but appeared years later after some had escaped. Most if not all characters were involved, but I think it involved ENlgand and America especially. I hope this sounds familier to some poeple! :)

Also, any fics which are very long and involve a great deal of characters? I don't mind dark fics, in fact any of those would be especially good!

Nation doesn't dissapear just because it has lost its country. I think they'll rather just close to themselves and don't really interact with others, or they're banned ftom interaction with nations other than in country in which they live now, or maybe combination of both. Or they do interact with others, just not on political level. Take Slovakia as example - over 1100 years without own country and didn't dissapear at all, since nation was still there. Neither Baltics nor Russia's sisters didn't dissapear when they were part of Soviet Union, or

About fanfiction, I didn't hear about it at all, though once I read LietPol doujinshi about similar case.

As for long fics involving many characters, I recommend Doppelganger. It's not that dark, but it involves pretty much all nations plus some OCs and is 68 chapters and counting.

Just so you know, the author also did a sequel of sorts, which is basically a lot of one-shots about what happened after the events of that fic.
