has anyone played the gakuen hetalia game and finished it.

this game has been around for two years, yet i can't seem to find much about besides that it stars seychelles, and that certain few parts have been translated. i've also found a couple ch's but never a complete set. i've seen other otome games get much more coverage than this in a quicker amount of time.

i'd really like to find out more about this game(like how many romantic endings are there, if any, and with who?). i would also like to find more cg's.

You're talking about the PSP/NDS Gakuen Hetalia, right? I thought there were a fair amount of translations in Youtube...or well, there *used* to be; haven't checked in a while.

I think it depends on the otome game. A PC game is much easier for people to get to play, for example. I've never been able to play Gakuen Hetalia myself. Has anyone been able to? (without having to buy it, that is). The sole game rip that was released seems to be either flawed or with a mysterious protection, because it just won't work on a PSP.

There's another factor against this game; Seychelles itself. I can recall a lot of backlash because fans didn't want for the female player to have a face. Either way, if I'm not mistaken, this game isn't of romantic nature. Sure, there's a lot of character paths, but they all ended with the characters thanking Seychelles for being helpful/a good friend or something like that. Nothing else. Again, as you can see, Gakuen Hetalia is a rather unusual otome game.

The DS one? Never played it. What I got from it was that Seychelles ends up being involved in having to plan the school's annual party where students have cultural exchanges and it's about the classmates understanding one another more than anything. I don't think there's anything really romantic in the game, just a better, deeper understanding of a specific character.

I understand wanting to see more on the game, I would totally love that too (I run a Hetalia quotes blog and I feel like crying when I come across a game or a drama CD untranslated) but I can't do anything about it since I'm not at all fluent in Japanese. The only ones on YouTube of having a translation to some of the scenes that I know of would be fortunegentlemen24 and SpaceInvaderDud. Though like kasumicc said, I do remember there being a lot of backlash due to Seychelles being the main character.

I think there are several factors into play though on this. Like you said, there isn't really a complete set (a few walk-throughs on YouTube but nothing all together) and even if someone was willing to translate, it would be hard to piece the order together if there's not a straight walk-through or if there are some sections missing. I'm sorry, I'm not much help, but I hope you do find your answers!

Unfortunately I haven't seen a whole lot of it, but if you were to find some untranslated video footage or screenshots, I'd totally be willing to provide translations!

There is actually a plethora of videos on youtube from the user xxxvzsadlmlr!

Here are individual events: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBCB68269DAADB298
And here's a playthrough: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL077E172B6B630919

I've tried translating some for myself, but I only have a very basic understanding of Japanese I've picked up, so it's much just guessing from Google Translate

I have always been really curious about translations for the gakuen game also... anyway I don't think this video (http://sweet-land-of-libertea.tumblr.com/post/41668604564/mirashade-um-if-youre-okay-with-it-this-is-a) has been uploaded to youtube, although it isn't necessarily a complete translation.

Even though Seychelles is the main character the game still includes a lot of fan-servicey stuff for other characters. The translator for that video decided not to translate the interactions between Japan and Seychelles and focused on interactions with England and America.

The NDS/PSP game where they hosted a cultural party? The point is to get Seychelles to know the other students and get as many of them to attend the party via tri-daily interactions within 30 days. I finished it, got a failed rating because I only managed to get Canada to attend other than the default confirmed cast and also the task allocation was screwed (Ok, I admit it was stupid to put England over the food. But... I just had to XD ) and had to start all over again although I never finished the second run. Seemed tiring and a lot of points to build up with the characters. But the interaction here and there are kinda interesting as further insights to each character.

Oh, and I played an untranslated NDS ROM if you were wondering. The PSP version had a bug that doesn't allow the ripped ISO to play beyond day 6 and the NDS one went swimmingly smooth. I understand a bit of Japanese myself so I managed to get a few points here and there. But it gets tiring after a while because there is so much dialogue.
