And it looks like there's been a change in design for the Hetalia char CDS?
I'm thinking the older version might be used for the clear illustration card and this might be the CD cover (or maybe the other way around?)

But also, a small question? My friend and I were thinking of using another social networking/blog/news medium/site for people to receive faster/easier updates? Like, something that'll be accessible to a range of users but also give notifications at the same time?
Do you think this is a good idea and if so, what would be a good way to do so? We were thinking of Facebook/Twitter ;u;

Also,
myfigurecollection.net gives updates. You can subscribe to a whole series, or even individual characters, so emails only show up for exactly what you want.

Plus it's a visual collection checklist, too.
Just terribly out of date for any fandom I've ever looked into.

I'm not quite sure how it works though? And I'm not sure how many people use it (do you get notifications only if you make an account etc).
We want something a bit more accessible for the general public :"D
It's just a small idea, but so far it looks like Tumblr is quite a big hit for the merch blog (we were just thinking making it even easier to spread the news or get updates. Perhaps a Twitter on the side.)

But Idk. Notifs require email addresses, which you can't really register into something without registering? So... I guess it's either accessibility or notifications.

For accessibility, I'd suggest taking over the wiki account.
For notifs, definitely still MFC.

Hetalia section's mostly here (http://myfigurecollection.net/search.php?origin_strict=1&origin_id=415), for whatever that's worth. There's multiple tags, though, so there's this page (http://myfigurecollection.net/search.php?origin_strict=1&origin_id=46859) as well, for newer stuff.

That's a decent user base, but the reality is that most Hetalia fans are not collectors and are just general fans and won't have an account on MFC already or are willing to get one for notifications compared to something like a Twitter/Facebook which has millions of users and lots of fans most likely already have for personal purposes. So if we use those kind of accounts on the side then they can possibly also use it for updates on merch.

But, yeah, for notifs whilst the functionability looks ideal, I really wouldn't rely or consider MFC and I doubt the fandom base would all be flocking to it either. We're looking at more popular mediums, if we find a need for it, that users are already more acquainted with and have a higher probability of using. (For example, Tumblr has a really high user base and is one of the most popular social networking sites as of late hence why we started a blog there.)

And, sorry, the wiki is something we really don't plan on taking over. Maybe I'll add in some entries here and there when the holidays come around, but it's not something we're actively looking at :"D

You see, despite the fandom waning in the Western fandom, it's actually still quite a big hit in Japan :"D

Those door hangers are so cute! I need to get the Spain one/South Italy for sure.

I think that a Twitter account would be the best as long as it links to something with more information if people want it. Like a post of Tumblr or something because sometimes I go looking for the things that I see and I just end up frustrated because I can't find any information on them. I strongly vote against Facebook though because I do not like the Facebook layout. I find it annoying and confusing because of the way there are columns with different things and half the time they are not even labeled with what is what.

And no no, I like your updates here, thank you for doing them and keep posting! :) Also, I like tumblr the best, twitter is ok too (I just don't use it that much). Definitely not Facebook- like lilredlfc said, it's confusing. And generally annoying, heh. I have an account but I only use it when I need to.
