Kotobukiya is Re-Releasing all 3 boxes of the Rubberstraps (Taking orders for them!)

Looks like Kotobukiya is re-releasing ALL THREE SETS of the rubberstraps again for late March of 2013! Pretty sure this is due to the announcement of Season 5!

And then with the additional actual pre-orders open already on their site and a few others, yep, it's official!

How exciting! I wonder what else will be released in celebration of season 5 ;u;! I'm crossing my fingers that Movic will join in with the Season 5 celebration and re-release or release more plush >A<

I remember there was a reasonably long time when America/Italy mochi set was the only out of stock item on the whole site...

Pfff- box 2 and 3 still say sold out and haven't been updated.
Interesting. Because asides from what you said about the Kotobukiya shop, everywhere else was pretty much sold out and that's how resellers were acting like also.

The onecoins are still readily available any time, there, but you don't see anywhere else stocking them, either.

I think they do too. Though, to be fair, they don't do many 'bonus' or discounts so it's easy to see why. I only ever check to see releases/re-releases but never to buy x'D

I'd buy OCF but like blugh, Australian shipping bLUGH.

They get caught in discounts sometimes though-- they have their own Rakuten account, so when it's actually stocked at the right time it can get hit with FJ's 10% off promo.
But.
Well that's not that much of a bonus. xD

I guess Kotobukiya itself is only really a supplier? Like, sure anyone can order from them, but I think they intend to sell to stores.

Exactly. They do have the Rakuten account but yeah, not much of a discount eh. Esp. considering then you have to add in additional bank transfer and domestic shipping fees compared to like, buying from other stores that do international orders with a bigger discount and only having to worry about international shipping and none of the fees :U
(though with the Japanese fans, idk what their reason is for not buying from there other than not knowing is lol)

And yeah, that's pretty much so. They supply to stores mainly and then on the side have their own small shop.

Honestly, I can't say for sure? You will have to keep your eyes on Animate and such to see if they have any notice about rereleasing the special bonus straps.

Just keep your eyes peeled on the Animate listings and maybe the bonus straps will be included ;v;
(Don't want to raise hopes up too high, but sometimes Animate does announce bonus items a bit after listings of pre-orders and such)

Nope. That's the base price without fees and stuff. Though, to be fair, if it was without the fees/shipping and such, 6000yen isn't that bad a deal. Considering his average last I've seen is $60-$80 ish (Much better compared to like other bidding auctions ages back where it went up to the hundreds lol).
To be frank, you're going to have to be willing to fork out a lot if you're seriously looking to buy him :c

I know it's really hard to get him, but that was practically the price I paid for 1 whole box with the bonus strap ;v; (I don't remember the exact value with shipping, but I'm almost sure it was less than $100)... and unfortunately, I've seen people selling it in this community or in the hetalia sell for a low price, but I always saw the post after someone had already bought it x'D...

Anyway, I'm hoping for something like a miracle now ^^'!

Yeah, pretty much. But yeah, I also remember back when he was only sold for like $30 (and back then that was too 'high' for a rubberstrap ahaha and look at us now "orz) and then there was someone who sold him a few months back for really really cheap but as expected, sold very fast x'D

There's a few others who really really want him too pff- but, good luck!

Gaaaahhh why they made these characters 'bonus' in the first place?! They could made them something like 'secret characters', like the OCFs, but noooo =A='...

I hope someone includes them in the box... really, even if I needed to buy the whole box and sell all the 8 characters that I alread have...

Romano was a bonus from Animate the first time, right? Do you remember if there was an advertising in the link about that before?

Well, they're incentives to buy from the store. Everybody who ordered the first box from Animate got Romano. It was to promote Animate. If people bought the box and didn't receive him, it's because they chose not to buy from Animate.

It's a pain, sure, but it's marketing. At least none of the rubber straps have ever been Messesanoh-exclusive. Those are the painful ones. $30 England card while the rest rarely passed $10, $60 Russia voice clip CD while the rest were $20-$30... I believe that $70~$80 Prussia card is that store's fault, too.

It doesn't help that this was also around that time when if anybody in Western fandom asked near retail value for them, they'd be attacked by people all "AmiAmi's price is cheaper, you're ripping us off!" so, it wasn't possible. Fandom did this to itself.

Well, I'll try to take a look in other stores too just in case... but I still find it so strange that kotobukiya don't sell this kind of bonus in her own store o.o'!
