Hetalia Day Aftermath

Happy day-after-Hetalia Day, everyone!

I'm surprised not to have seen any posts about it on here. Visiting family members kept me from celebrating it myself (though I had a great time anyway!). Did anyone do anything for it this year? Feel free to share stories, post pics, or let's just reinvigorate our love of Hetalia! :D

There was a hetalia day festival in Lima - Peru this year, it was on Sunday. It was pretty fun since we watched movies. Played games and stuff. I met new people and had fun XDDDDD

I know some people went to a hetalia day in London but as the London MCM expo is tomorrow (today) I know a lot of people are meeting up for that instead to celebrate Hetalia and get a huge groupshot photoshoot.

We had a Hetalia Day in San Francisco, had a really long (but fun!) photoshoot an played some games! Met lots of people and it was really cool! We even had a cosplayer as the HetaOni monster! I've got a picture too. (http://pinaki93.deviantart.com/art/Hetaoni-1-333623984)

We celebrated Hetalia Day in L.A. on the 20th. A large group, about 50 people, got together at Lake Balboa for a picnic, photo shoots, games and other fun stuff. I was there with deathbyroses (my Canada who's too young for an account here), Speadee (my Taiwan), and a few other friends I met at Anime Expo. If anyone who reads this was there, I was fem!Austria. I followed a few cosplayers to the playground and I think we frightened the children. (Sorry, kids.) Being the only Austria there, I was given a lovely drawing of of a chibified Austria by a nyo!Belarus cosplayer who normally cosplays Austria also. My Canada and I returned home dead tired, but happy. A lot of good memories from that day.

i just came home from our event today!

i was fem!china
i married a russia (otp omfg. also the entire room SCREAMED when sweden FINALLY brought finland to the wedding stage good lord)
a local anime tv channel covered a segment of our event so i'm guessing there'll be a throng of people singing marukaite chikyuu on air anytime now
basically fanservice and screaming and making friends and also flashmobs and mass singing everywhere
