[Help]Making Wy's giant brush

Hi all!
I'm indending to make Wy's giant brush by my own but I've no idea about the sorts of material I needa use.
Do you guys have any suggestion on this? eg. should I use PVC or wood for the brush handle? etc.
I really need your help!
Great thanks to all of you! :')

I'm mostly a sewer, not a prop-maker, so I can't really help, but the forums at cosplay.com have a lot of tutorials and helpful people, you should at least be able to get some ideas there.

It depends on the use, and on how realistic you want it to be. Personally, id try making it as a plush of sorts, since it would be light weight. I'm just a beginner myself though ^ ^*

I like nuitfroide's plush idea, but if you want it to be realistic and also lightweight, I'd suggest PVC for the handle. Then, for the upper part of the handle that actually holds the brush bristles, you could always use wire and paper mache. I'm not so sure about the bristles themselves, though...

I'm in China right now and I've seen a real, functional giant paintbrush.

Maybe you could refit a mop to look like a paintbrush :x

bamboo if it's readily available, if not, a mop handle.
