(no subject)

Was there ever a sequel or follow-up to the Valentino extras? If not, anything dis/confirming Germany as HRE. Thanks in advance!!!

Fff you tagged it just as I told you to.

>There was no follow up or sequel or anything to the Boun San Valentino strips.
>Older/Teen-ish HRE looks quite a bit like Germany. Even more than chibi HRE. He's smaller and his hair was down--but they speak similarly if I recall. But, besides that, no. There's no canon confirmation at all.

There wasn't ever a sequel *sobs*, but there have been a few further hints of HRE=Germany; though we may be reading into it too much; depends what you think =)

There was this old sketch (which we assume may be enlarged upon in further volumes): http://himaruya.blog61.fc2.com/blog-entry-1122.html It appears to be a funeral/coronation weird type scenario going on and then Germany waking up having 'dreamt' it: So possibly flashbacks of his HRE past?

And then this doodle: http://himaruya.blog61.fc2.com/blog-entry-1123.html of Prussia and Austria seemingly with a younger Germany/HRE. Whichever one of them it is they look uncannily similar to one another.

Also the end of Buon San Valentino itself shows what appear to be 'flashbacks' of HRE giving Chibitalia flowers; these seem to be Germany's thoughts when he's gone a little 'blue screen of death' shocked after proposing to Italy.

And finally there was the HRE Christmas strip in which an ailing HRE says Germany's exact (or near to) line about only speaking for a certain amount of time during the meeting.

Let's not forget their similar appearances, their attachment to Italy, no mention of Germany's childhood thus far in the series despite most of the other main cast having some sort of strip dedicated to their younger days, and the obvious fact that (very broadly speaking) the Holy Roman Empire (of the German nations no less), did eventually (after a ton of strife and disagreements amongst land owners) become the unified Germany of today. So all in all if HRE isn't Germany, he's got to be a reincarnation or something. (pleeease ;3;)

Lol sorry took up too much of your time. tl:dr - No sequel to Valentino or solid yes or no answer on our 'big question/theory', but lots of delicious hints that he is.
