Anyway, I'm not surprised, considering they had to push the date back on vol 3 due to demand. And honestly, as much as I loathe Stu Levy, I am pleased with the new condition of their POD manga. The glossy, sturdy covers are a big step up from the stuff Tokyopop was covering their manga in before their fall.

Ughhhh... I bought volume three because I was under the impression that TokyoPop was not involved, and that Right Stuf only used their version because it was there and ready to go.

Now they're saying that TP and Stu Levy are involved? *swears like Romano for five minutes straight*

No, no, no! I bought the damn volume (which I still haven't received despite getting an e-mail from Right Stuf saying it would be here days ago) because I was under the impression that TokyoPop had nothing to do with it.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF...

I am not happy with Right Stuf at the moment. And TokyoPop needs to go die in a fire.

In all fairness, RightStuf had been making that absolutely clear since the start of those preorders that he still was involved. So it's pretty late to be mad at them for not finding out something they've tried to tell you.

Just remember the reality of it, that no matter who the publisher is, some of that money does still go to Gentosha and Himaruya. /o/

Actually, the info I had stated that TP had given up the rights to the series, and any and all profits from the sales would go only to Gentosha and Right Stuf.

And it was a Right Stuf employee that I got this information from.

I had asked Rightstuf CEO about this in an earlier email and he stated that since Tokyopop is closed, they would have to get someone to do the translations if Volume 4 was considered for licensing in the US.( Not certain if someone from Nozomi will do it.) However, after reading the article about Stu stating the original publisher didn't provide details on when and how the book is going to be published. I just wonder how TP is still a part of this deal if it's Rightstuf doing the majority of the work since volume 4 was never translated by them. Yes, TP did translated Vol 3 but now that's published, shouldn't the handling and the communication of the future volumes be handled by Rightstuf? It's not like they don't possess experience in licensing titles. It kinda sounds like the majority of sales profit benefits Rightstuf, The Japanese publisher and the creator while TP may receive a fee for acting as a "Middle man". ( Since they licensed the series first and has worked with them before.) Sorry, Not a economic major.

But I believe this great news for International fans of the series and for the creator since he acknowledge them. I do hope the artbook can be licensed. As much as I would like to buy a Japanese copy, I would like to see an English edition.

Personally, I'm excited!! :D Thank you for this news and don't let the debby downers get ya down (this is for any fans) about this. Be thankful it's coming out and they didn't leave us hanging - whatever company is behind it.

It's fine to excited about this news, but people are allowed to be less-than-thrilled about Stu Levy's involvement (and for many that factor is a deal breaker). Hell, I'm not particularly thrilled about his involvement either! But that doesn't give you the right to passive-aggressively attack other people in the comments, even if it is "crossed out". Everyone's as entitled to their views and you are to your own.

Stu Levy may be getting for his involvement, but Himaruya's getting paid, too, guys...and apparently based on the preorders for volume 3, he's getting paid a lot.

I'm sorry. I didn't like Tokyopop, but volume 3 was far from Tokyopop-standard. Talk to someone who owns it, they'll tell you how much better it is than the first two volumes.

I'll be preordering this as soon as possible. Himaruya gets money too, guys.

I didn't like Tokyopop, but volume 3 was far from Tokyopop-standard.

This so very, VERY much, even to the point where I want to buy their re-released volumes 1 and 2 because the quality is a Godsend (but they aren't reprinting 1 and 2 with the color pages, soooo...).

I'll also be preordering as soon as I can. I want to support Himaruya, the series I love, and give thanks to whoever was involved in providing us a quality product, be it Tokyopop or Rightstuf or whoever!

As much as I dislike Tokyopop and Stu Levy not letting this one go, I love the series and Hima-san, so I'll continue to throw money their way.
