Question: Hetalia Manga Publishing...

I'm sorry if this question has been answered on another post but I've been out of the loop a little bit lately ^^;
Now that Tokyopop US is shut down is there any news on whether or not anyone will take over the US publication of Hetalia??

Not sure at the moment. People have their opinions about which publisher they WANT to see get the license, but now that Hetalia's proven to be a money maker, I'm sure the price for the license has gone up. It's really about which company is prepared to pay it, and none have opted to speak up at the moment.

So far, no one has grabbed the license yet but everyone has their theories on who will grab it and who they want to grab it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll hear some news sometime this year. I'd love to be able to get legit copies of volume 3 and 4 in English since buying the Japanese versions are not possible for me.

No idea, but since Stu Levy is being a bitch about the liscensing rights, it looks like it may be a while :/.

Thanks for the info :) I really hope someone picks it up soon too :( I could buy the Japanese volumes of 3 and 4 (there's a store in my town that sells really current manga like it releases stuff just a few weeks after it's released in Japan) but I feel like it would be pointless as I wouldn't be able to read it ^^; I'm really upset as well seeing as volume 3 was already scheduled to be released just a month or something after Tokyopop announced it was shutting down right? But they decided not to release it :I I thought that was a dick move LOL
