Event comm reminder

For those who still haven't seen it yet, we have hetalia_events available to us now~

Even though this Christmas event sounds like it'll be 4koma as opposed to a story, Himaruya's not a machine. We're still probably going to see multiple updates at different times of the day, rather than one massive update of everyone's requests at once.

So that's where this new comm comes in. We won't have to flood the main one at all when new things appear to post about.

The layout's currently still up for changes. Feel free to come to this post and help us decide the final look before the event starts~

I'm going to be out at my cousin's place for Christmas Eve dinner, though. D:
All I know for sure is we're going there for 6, and my family talks a lot.

So I probably can't be home at 8, and that's when first update is for me.

BUT I can take my laptop anyway, and help out if nothing else. Any chance you want to do the honours of first actual update post? ;u;

10am JST=8am here...and I might not be at home/able to access internet until 2hours later, but I can update it regularly almost all day long after that ;w;b

Also basically the trick for getting people who haven't seen either ad over to the new comm:

First update post can be a preview on the main comm with a fake cut to the full post on the event one.

We'll see what happens, in any case.

We can do that, fake cut to the real post in event post, put a short newest preview in this 'anchor post' in the main comm. We also need to fetch translations from the translator-scanlator HQ post while keep captha away..

I think the fix for first update is find out who already plans to make the first one. xD
Then just get them on our side.

I'm quite good with quick-editing post and makes it look...aligned&organised

What if we make an initial post for this event but lock the comment until it's like, an hour before the event?

Could definitely do that. Unfortunately comms are just like regular journals, in that only the OP can edit their own post. So. Whoever wants that first entry is the one who'll have to make the placeholder one.

Until then, at least, we do have a little index page (http://hetalia-events.livejournal.com/694.html) ready. So. It might not be absolute disaster if the first one's a little late in getting moved over there...

We could, but there's a similar rules list on the profile page of the new community, too. ;u; I was looking at the Hetaquette post at the time, and unless I'm mistaken somewhere, it seemed reasonably similar.

Is there anything in particular you want to see added to the comm's rules?
