[Official Blog Update] More Q&A - Tatars, France Comic, Halloween Costumes

http://himaruya.blog61.fc2.com/blog-entry-1329.html

A whole slew of questions and answers.

Not much I can say any better than Google-fu right now, it's various subjects, at least half of which are Hetalia related or potentially so.

(Also, I notice we need more character tags since we suddenly got so many new characters lately! XD )

Tatars ? Golden Horde, maybe.

Seconding the new character tags idea! ^^
Also Hima answers a question about Spain so you might want to include his tag ^^

Aww, he mentioned the anime "High Score" and said he made a guest appearance so I got all excited, but after searching around it turns out that it was only the fun book that he participated in :I You tease, Himaruya! I still love you.

What is this fun book you are talking about? o:

[identity profile] hikari-kaitou.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Apparently it's a sort of fan book created in tribute to the manga/anime High Score wherein the contributors are professional mangaka. It seems that it also includes an encyclopedia explaining the different references made in the manga/show (since it's a gag work, there are apparently a lot of inside jokes), character profiles, and a selection of other work by the original author.

Totally did the same thing. Orz Just realized how much I adore this guy (... or an-alpaca-in-a-human-suit)

The fun book was supposed to be out in July, right? I was wondering what he contributed in it. Did you find any scans/news/etc? I didn't manage to find a thing. Q_Q

[identity profile] hikari-kaitou.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 04:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Right? Even to hear him doing a voice in an anime would be so awesome ;_;

I found some info here, but it doesn't seem to be too specific about what he actually contributed. It says it's a collection of tribute manga, so perhaps it's a High Score fan comic? http://natalie.mu/comic/news/34227

But yeah, it was released in combination with the ninth volume of the High Score manga in July. Maybe I could find some scans if I had time to search...

Damn, now I'm dying to know more about this!!! ›////‹

I found a scan of (one of the?) pages that Himaruya did! It's not very big or good quality, but it's something: http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Score-Special-Fun-Book-Hige-Score-2010-Japan-/270702235383#ht_5449wt_905 If you scroll down to the inside images section, it's on the ninth row, the second page of the first image on that row.

Thank you so much for taking the time to search for it :D
At first had to look up Himaruya's name in Japanese to make sure I was looking at the right page, but then I was like: oooh I see it now! It's him! It's definitely him!! *A*

[identity profile] hikari-kaitou.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, awesome! Thanks! Glad I could help ^o^/♥

[identity profile] aselav.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 01:48 am (UTC)(link)
Got nothing to offer but hugs. *bear hugs* (*>ω<) Thanks!

[identity profile] pixelmicrocat.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
OMG you're so awesome ide!!!! *w*

[identity profile] aselav.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
You are awesome! I didn't think of looking for inside pages (what was I doing? Orz)

Thanks!! >___<

I like that even though it's just a small part of the fun book but we fans go nuts over it. Heehee.

Looks like Himaruya is a fan of this manga/anime. And it's shôjo moreover. I would say Hima has special tastes ; I don't know how many men/boys read shôjo manga nowadays.

[identity profile] hikari-kaitou.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 11:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, the style is kind of shoujo-ish, but apparently it's classified as a gag/parody manga, so I think it seems right up his alley ^^;

Do I see him mentioning.......United Arab Emirates....
and possibly other Arab countries.

In the fourth to last question.

Trying to translate this bit with my mediocre Japanese + dictionnary

[identity profile] nodokaotonashi.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 09:42 pm (UTC)(link)
>もしよろしければ擬人化されたアラブさんを見てみたいな、なんて・・・。

アラブ首長国連邦情報ありがとうございました!
結構付き合ってみると面白い人ばかりですよね。
なんかこう…アラブのおっさんの魅力は異常。

The question says something in the lines of "I'd love to see some personifications of Arabic nations".

Himaruya is grateful for the information given on UAE, finds the country interesting... plans to draw him as an charming old man under the hot weather ?! Well, it fits. XD That reminds me of several OCs I've seen : The owner must be the one who gave Hima informations. And to be honest ? His OC is fitting Himaruya's description ♥ (http://fav.me/d4hbiwo)

You're welcome ! X3 It looks like we will have the billionnaire sheik as UAE. I'm very curious and optimistic about how Himaruya will handle it.

That looks like an aweseome OC.
