We have our "Thank You" Map.

Here's the Excel List of Well-Wishers. I'm afraid Excel couldn't read any other characters apart from the English alphabet. But don't worry, it shows on the map. :)

And so apparently, the coding is being tricky, so I can't for some odd reason, post the map on here. So I guess we'll have to settle for the usual link.

Unless someone whose better at HTML can help me figure this out? I would be much obliged

If everyone feels satisfied with the map, I will hurry off to send it to him. But if you have anything you want to fix, you have until Friday to tell me or it's going to Himpapa's mailbox

I can't seem to find the "additions" button (from the original instructions) so does that mean I'm completely cut off? ;^;

Oh my gosh, that map is AMAZING! I remember seeing it when you first started it, it was so small, and seeing it grow like that is really breathtaking!

It's pretty simple. :)

Here are the steps:

1. Go to http://www.zeemaps.com/284136
2. At the top of the map, you will see a row of tabs, click on the one that says 'additions'
3. To make things easier, just use 'Add Marker- Simple'
4. Please remember not to put in your home address. All we need is a city and the country, OR just use 'Click on map location' to get the general area. Otherwise you risk broadcasting your personal information
5. It will prompt you for a password, and I will PM it to you shortly.

Can I...go in and change the location of my marker? xD I live in the suburb city of a larger city, so I didn't expect my city to show up in the locations...it didn't when I was adding my message, so I put the larger city.

Looking at the map now, I see someone from my hometown! What a surprise! WHO ARE YOU? I want to track you down. XD

At the moment, I don't think the map is password-protected. I was able to create and then delete a second entry on the map.

Just to let you know, since I'm assuming the password is intended to keep out vandals and the like.

Same here; I think it's because the link displayed at the top of the entry: < http://www.zeemaps.com/pub?group=284136 >, is the password-protected link while the link provided in one of the posts below: < http://www.zeemaps.com/284136 >, is the link for editing (link at the top of the entry accidentally has OP's location coordinates included, just FYI)

(OP, you can try locking this journal entry to Members Only but the downside would be that only LiveJournal users who are members of this Community can add themselves to the map

Looking at the Share settings for ZeeMaps, it looks like the site won't let you post the map here unless you shell out $0.95 =\ )

I was playing around with the Excel sheet and managed to get everything lined up nicely. I could upload it to Mediafire if you'd like to see it. ;v;

And, um, just curious, but maybe the reason Excel can't read the non-English characters is because it wasn't saved in Unicode. Was there any option of that when saving the list?

ummm you couldnt see it on the map or on the list?? because its normal not to see iton the map because it gets crowded on there. but if it showed up on the list. then you're fine.

i just wish you contacted me before you re-added your marker?? because it ends up being a headache to edit the list later...
