[official] Hetalia finally published in Italy

Well i hope this thing will actually be interesting for some people here xDD
Personally i'm always happy whenever i know about some more country publishing Hetalia * 7 *
And this time it's Italy getting the comic published! It was announced 1 year ago but the 1st volume has just been published~

I'd like to hear some opinion, (well i'm mostly talking to the italians who could read this, but of course everyone's welcome!), please reply on my journal post~

I talked to an (although somewhat unfriendly... >_>) person from Tokyo Pop at the Buchmesse in Frankfurt and she said something along the lines of

"Watch the newsletter, it's not looking bad..."

Yes, that TP guy in hall 3 told me the same.
He said that it's most likely, but he also said, that it is still not possible to tell when it will come into austrian, swiss and german bookstores.

I really, really hope it gets published in German. With the uncertain future of the English release, it would be just so much more convenient to read the series in German.

When it comes to the translation, I can't really compare since German isn't my native language, so I won't notice bad translations easily, but I do admit that the quality of the paper etc. is usually better in the English manga I've read. I just like buying manga in German because there are so many more interesting series.

My friends and me already found tons of spelling mistakes and often the translation doesn't sound right. Or the change the name of an attack later in the manga, like with Soul Eater... (German just sounded weird xD)
But yes, there are a looooooooot of series xD

Well I do know of Poland and we Hungarians have 3 volumes published and now waiting for the 4th.

in my country there are like, 5 manga published in total: peach girl, negima, blade of the immortal , some witches named chocolate and vanilla, and wolf and cub(or is it bear and cub...?) there aren't even naruto, bleach, one piece or fma, so i don't think i'll have a chance of buying it in my counrty -.-
p.s. i didn't even know italians like hetalia O.o

well, we do have quite a large fandom for hetalia, maybe it's not that noisy so it isn't noticed ^^' i've never been in italian fandom communities anyway xD' *tries to stay away from fandoms in general*

from what i know, there are not so many countries who got Hetalia so far.. and, exception made for America, the other countries were quite unexpected to me! Italy included.. xD'
honestly, i dunno for what miracle we got it o_o'

I hope this is a good edition. In this case, I'll probably buy it.Tokyopop books are awful. If you compare them with the original japanese books, they really suck.The pages look like photocopies.

yeah well the italian edition is a half thinner of the japanese one and that's cause of the thinner paper. And the pages do look a little like photocopies, even if i must say that all the lines and greys are perfectly visible and well balanced. The screentones had been turned into full greys due to known problems with our printing machines, but i've noticed that even the american and polish versions have the same problem. Japanese printers are just too great T7T'' The cover paper is exactly the same of the japanese edition, indeed it could look like a japanese cover if not for the different logo and writings. And as for the coloured pages, they are of a good weight and don't really loose quality from the original ones..!
All in all, it's good :3
