Here is the latest batch of fabric Hetalia mochis I've been making! I started making fabric mochis back in February when I found a pattern on deviantart. I made MochiAmerica and mochiUK first, and took them with me to London Anime Con. When I sold them within the first five minutes at my art table to two Hetalia fans, I decided to make more! So here is what I made from my last convention:

The round mochis are 10cm (height) x 12cm (width) in size and the cubes (Germany and Prussia, which I have made previously) are 16cm x 16cm. I'm currently making these guys again for London MCM Expo on the 28th - 30th October and Doki-Doki Festival in Manchester on 13th November. If you're going to those events, I hope to see you there! If not, I do mochi commissions if you would like one! I've also been making Plush dolls too. I am currently working on a large Wizard UK doll (from the official Hetalia calendar, October image) and a smaller Character CD cover UK doll(the leather jacket and pants look). Sadly due to time constraints, they will have to wait until December - January when I have time to finish them, as making mochis and getting prints re-printed to sell are taking up all of my time now. However, I finally finished these two lovelies:

I was inspired by RobinRocks's Hetalia fan-fiction "Horizon", cosmic_dare's Hetalia fan-fiction "Cerulean", Pirates of the Caribbean 4, the Little Mermaid (Disney version - Sebastian still cracks me up after all these years!) and my own novel that I'm writing. Both mermen are made from fleece, peel & stick printable fabric paper, felt, spandex (their fish tails and fins) and synthetic fur (Arthur's hair, to which my Mother said "He looks like Boris Johnson, the Lord Mayor of London! Me and my sister laughed for ages at that, it's quote of the month for me!). My family asked me how much I was going to sell the Mermen for. I don't really think i can part with them. I mean, look at their faces! It's not like they're going to eat me in the middle of the night! Well Merman Arthur might but...(I am joking to humour you here!) Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

I have a curious question. Are you still making these mochi's, and if you are, how much do they cost? I live in the US and think my best friend would love to have the UK one that you have there. It's so cute! Thanks for your time

Hi there! Yes I'm still making the Hetalia mochis. They cost £10 each ($15 dollars) and shipping to the US is $10 with signed for Royal Mail. Total is $25. If you're still interested, when would you like the UK mochi for so I can make it and post it out to you?

I might have to wait to get it because of some Christmas presents today that I got that were more expensive then I probably should of spent, but I will definitely get back to you, especially since that's such a good price considering the size of them. Sorry I hadn't ordered when I first asked about it, but the person that it is for came home for the holidays and last thing I wanted was for it to come in the mail when they were here and have them see it, since I am getting it for them as a birthday gift for later in the year. So yes, I would definitely like to purchase the England Mochi, whenever you can get it done. There isn't any rush because I don't need it til the middle of June, just so you know. Also, when you ship it, will the shipping price include insurance as well? Thanks! (:

Hi there! I'm actually coming to the US on holiday (Florida) in early June (5th). I can bring the mochi with me and post it to you then, cutting out the shipping cost and it works out cheaper for you! If you private message me your address, I can work out the the postage price and cost of insurance for you.

Hi there, sorry that it took so long to get back to you! I was comparing prices for sending out packages to America from the UK with insurance. So far, I've found that it costs between £26-£30 for insurance on sending parcels from the UK to America. (That's about $40 USD) So in USD, the mochi itself costs $15 and with insurance will altogether be $50USD.

BUT I don't want to charge you that much! The last time I sent a mochi out to America, I only charged a total of $30USD with the cost of the mochi, postage and insurance included. Does that sound fairer?

Yes, that is much fairer, and it's okay. I would of preferred insurance, but not if it's that much more haha. I definitely don't want to pay $50 for it. $30 sounds so much better, as long as that price is good for you. Thank you for taking the time to look into it. I didn't mind waiting. I figured if you hadn't gotten back to me within another month or so, I would of contacted you asking about it anyway.

Hello! I'm currently making the England Mochi. He will look a little different from the photographs in this post as I have a new embroidery machine. (I can make the mochi look more professionally made) He'll be made of short pile fleece (more sturdier than felt and will not bobble), his eyes and eyebrows will be embroidered (instead of stuck on fabric paper) and he will have a gold sticker of "Big Ben" on the back of him (the glitter stickers I buy of The Tower of London have been discontinued and replaced with Big Ben). I will post up the photographs when he is finished either next week or the week after, as I have to get ready to sell my work at a convention. Hello again! I just wanted to ask if something happened since you said you would post pictures soon and you still haven't. I figured I would give you more time, but you still haven't and I only have til the end of next month to get the mochi in time. With how long things are taking with this, I just want to make sure it will be here by the end of May. Unless you were waiting for me to send you payment. I can do that if you want. Hi there! Sorry about the delay, I've been running tests on my embrodery machine's design software and the machine itself, as my first few attempts at automatic machine embroidery went wrong. I'm also away from home for a week right now, but ready to start embroidering again when I get back. Pictures will be definitely be up by the 27th April of the finished mochi and I'll post it out first week of May
