Hi everyone ^^;
err... i'm not really new here *stalking for two weeks*, but, uh... just decided to share my fanart and some HRE icons i made... >.<
This is my first time actually posting from LJ *has a wordpress blog*, so sorry if i make mistakes~

I live in germany, german isn't my first language and i forget the words frequently. Plus, i can't remember them in the other languages i know. xDD;

lol, yeah, what should the poor Italy do with all the candy? XD Doubt this tastes good with pasta XDDDD

I'm the same way!
I learned English and Spanish at the same time so my mind flip flops between the two
Now I'm learning Russian and now I get words in Russian confused with words in Spanish, vise versa. I'm forgetting English... it's a mess!
It's getting even worse now since my friend's teaching me Portuguese >_<

Hetalia makes me learn!

I'm originally from belarus, so russian was my native language, but because i hav to learn german once we moved here, i forgot almost everything (i stil can speak/read/write in russian, but i think even my english is much better).
Then i learned english at school, and had to learn french, cause my parents thought it would be usefull. After i finished school, i forgot french completely DX and don't want to ever remember it again xD;
At the moment i try to learn japanese... whenever i have the time. *fails* XD;

omg HRE went all the way to china, only for Cotton Candy? Yay~ he must love Italy so much *-*

lol, i learned more about world history in the last two weeks, than in the 12 years i've gone to school xDDD; and i didn't know anything about the holy roman empire ^^; thought germany didn't have a name before it became germany XD

Wow! Haha! That's just a mess. You don't have too many people over here learning languages and if they do, it's just a few years of Spanish or French. Just something easy. If they're feeling adventurous, maybe German. Most people are like "Psh! You're bilingual! You've got it made!" So if I say "O I have a Russian exam to study for..." they get sort of freaked out. Especially where I work. The guys think it's the coolest thing in the world, which is kind of odd.
That would be so cool to learn Japanese though! I'd really want to learn Chinese since my cousin's already fluent.

Haha! I knew some things about geography and history but I guess when you add in cute characters and funny relationships ~~and yaoi~~ it makes it even more fun to learn

Hetalia is just weird like that. It becomes addicting. And then you watch the news and think of it in Hetalia form
Especially the whole G7 thing.

Perhaps because there are more countries with different languages in europe? ^^ I mean, on the american continent, you don't really need other languages than english, french or spanish, right? @_@; plus, english is the world language, so you would't need to learn anything, because most other countries teach english to their people xD

But i also think, being bilingual is kinda cool. °_° especially if you speak both languages fluently/from childhood. =)

Really. I can't watch the news without imagining Hetalia anymore. Like, atm Germany and France are threatening Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein, to loosen their bank secrecy, i pity the poor Liechtenstein, she's such a cute little girl. ;_;
And some (south)italian mafia guys killing their (also south italian) enemies on german territory... like in the 7th Episode of the Anime, South Italy seems to hate Germany... XDD;

and all the fights between west and east germany are like Ludwig quarrelling with Gilbert *_*

I was talking to one of my friends about that. In Europe, you could take the train and in a few hours, you're in another country. In America, first off we have a lousy train system (closest train station to me is about 3 hours away) and only if you live nearby the Mexican border or French-Canadian border, you really have no variety. Plus you're right. Everybody's learning English so if you already know English, there's no point. I still do feel stupid if I meet a European kid and they speak English perfectly it's like o_o
And then they know like 3 other languages and then it's like 0_0...

I think another side effect of Hetalia for me is wanting to watch the news. And then you remember it (I was in my Russian class and we were talking about "Putinism" and then we were talking about the Belorussian president calling Putin's dog "friend" and I tried so hard not to laugh while I imagined that with Russia and Belarus)

At least you remember these kind of things and it makes you sound very world-ly...

o_o; In germany there is a train station in almost every village o.o and at least two in every bigger town ^^
Thogh it's a bit more than a "few" hours to the next country, but that depends on where you're starting from and which kind of train you take xDD; I'd need about 10 hours with 3 different trains if i wanted to visit a friend in east germany, and took the cheapest regional trains ^^; ~~Manga and Anime made me poor~~

I'm only like o_o, if the ppl learn really exotic languages. Like Chinese or Russian, or Finnish... or even Latin xD~ 'Cause i think french and italian are boring, and everyone is learning them, only because the germans love to be on holiday in france or italy >.>;

So all those Simpsons episodes about weird festivals aren't that far-fetched XDDDD;
The only weird german festival i know is the Oktoberfest, the beer festival in Munich... but that's in bavaria and bavarians aren't very popular in the rest of germany xD because it's their fault foreighners think we all like Sauerkraut and Wurst DX not that we don't, but it's just... not our favourite food <.< i personally only like the Sauerkraut my mother makes, cause it's the russian version and it tastes much better xD

I saw bishies and wanted to see the anime and then i was like "lol, wtf? @,@" and then i googled for the mangastrips and found this community and began stalking D:

I was interested in news before, because the only thing that doesn't make you stupid if you watch Tv over here, are the news x_x; even though they're also going crazy over certain topics -_-;;
With Bishies it's more appealing, and i see world history from a different angle now. xD

But there are some things that weird me out, like, the guy who drew Germany to war (you know whom i mean... <,<), was an austrian, like some other bad guys, even nowadays. I mean, i just can't imagine Roderich mass producing such criminals x_x;

That's true ~~manga and anime making one poor included~~. Airports are more common around here but they're a lot more expensive but I guess it's nice since then it only takes 4-6 hours to go from one coast to the other. Unless you start from a big city and end in a big city, there's no point in taking the train.

You're pickier than I am! I'm like o_o if you know something other than English and Spanish (at least where I live. If you go closer to California and Washington, they have a larger Asian population)

Poor Bavaria. It's sadly true though. When one thinks of Germany, one imagines a country of beer and wurst. ~~I don't like sauerkraut but I've never had/heard of the Russian kind~~

I heard about it on dA back in July-August and I stalked for the longest time (LJ comm still scare me) and then I joined in like January. Sadly, it was the yaoi that got me to join. I just got drawn into it because it was cute and full of history ~~NERD!~~

I usually watch things like Discovery Channel(s) (they have different channels about animals, space, health, history, military, ect) which people don't usually watch unless they're bored or want to learn. (I watch the Catholic Channel when I'm bored :3 ) But BL seems to make things like differnt wars and alliances very memorable and interesting. It's taking something you already know and like and using that to learn something difficult (that's how I try to learn Russian. Take Russian words and try to compare them to English or Spanish words I already know)

Austria!? Producing criminals!? I guess he can be quite scary at times...

err... i think we also have a lot of airports. The biggest one is in Frankfurt/Main (near to where i live ^^) But still, trains are cheaper. =)

Maybe i'm picky because i lost interest in languages one can hear everywhere around here. ^^;

There are different ingredients in russian and german Sauerkraut. The russian one has different vegetables, sausages or other meat and such stuff mixed to it, and the german one is like... only Sauerkraut with a looooot of oil. x_x; i don't like it at all D:
Actually i think germans like potato or noodle salad, cause i've never seen a german (birthday) party without them o_o;
In russia, there is also a kind of potato salad on parties ~~which also tastes better than the german one~~, but russia is like... making food for the next ten weeks ahead if there's a party on the next day. xD My mom is still like this, so being on german parties is always like a culture shock for me XD~
Oh, and germans love pizza and Pasta. Ludwig ~~must have been brainwashed~~ really loves Feliciano... o_o

Hehe, i thought joining would let me view the Yaoi fanarts, and my LJ account was like, not really usefull before, so i joined. =) ~~omg because of Hetalia/Poland i'm using the word "like" all the time i write in english xD~~

Discovery Channel is only on Pay-Tv over here ._.; *wants* the german tv is turning in a brainwashing entertainment-only tv... like, there is that science program, called "Galileo". The first 5 years it was really informative and interesting, but now, all you see is some guy searching for the "largest -enter-name-of-food-here-" or a "video-fake-check" with random vids from Youtube being proved whether they're real, almost every day -_-; and they show boring stuff about ships, planes, or the making of random food on N-TV and call it Science Program ... ~_~

I mean, every country has it's criminals, but it's just... yep, scary, what happened with germany because of some psychopath from austria. >.>

Well I mean we have airports much in the way you described the train stations. You have small ones that only go a few places in every town and then you have 1 or 2 major airports that go international

I just use the mature:sex tag! xD There is a kink meme but I have a really hard time navigating through it so I just stay here ~~I said "aru" one time randomly. It was terrible!~~

Discovery Channel has some pretty weird, yet awesome shows. They have a few shows where they leave some guy in the wilderness (like in the Arctic or in the rainforest somewhere and he tries to survive. My favorite ones are Mythbusters (they use science-y things to see if urban legends are real) and Dirty Jobs (this guy goes around the country and does really "dirty jobs" like roadkill collector, exterminator, tanner etc) That sucks though about boring programs. Although I do like making random food...

I think the only time you really see him "mad" (as in angry, not crazy) is in the Chibitalia scans. I don't think I've ever seen a country really portrayed as "evil" not even Germany (Himaruya really leaves the evil to the bosses and not the countries themselves. The countries just have to follow along regardless) I think that's a nice thing about Hetalia. Nobody's the good guy. Nobody's the bad guy.

And I heard about that Austrian man. I picked that as my discussion topic for my Sociology class but I tried to focus on how the daughter was treated and how it affected her sociologically in comparison to the man's wife

Hm, maybe ^^ i don't really know about the smaller airports, cause there is only that big one nearby. ^^;
