[Fancomic] America's past haunts him

Howdie! This is the first time I've posted here. In a conversation with a friend, she urged me to post this incredibly unfinished comic I recently posted to my LJ and not here ('cause it'll be unfinished for a while due to a other comics taking precedence. :x)

Don't click in if you don't like unfinished stuff :x

Title: Um.. haunting past, idunno.
Author/Artist: Me
Character(s): US, um, a gary stu named Republic of Texas, (UK and Canada?)
Rating: I dunno, PG.

(cut off because it just goes into unintelligible sketches after that)

Note: Texans don't really act like they're part of America sometimes, and like to harbor the grudge, even now. Usually people fly Texas flags instead of US flags (except during election year apparently).

I made this way back in 2008 (XD) so I can't remember FOR THE LIFE OF ME what else was supposed to happen, other than some wacky interactions with France, and just the Republic of Texas haunting America-kun in general, and them eventually sealing Texas up back into America's glasses. :I

LOL TEXAS. Sadly, that is a lot like my poor home state. >_>;; Texas really is...someplace different.

It's nice! :D England force-feeding Canada made me lol. XD

Hahaa!
I honestly never knew Texas was like that!
-lives in Rhode Island and has never really left the state much, nevermind New England-
That shouldn't be an excuse though. ;;;

Canada being tied up and force fed made me laugh! Hahaa!
I love America's face in that last panel!

Supposively if the economy continues to fail Texas is going to secede. And if that happens Chuck Norris said he wants to run for president of Texas. (Random Fact of the Day)

Your Texas is so win.

Hahaa, well, I figured it wasn't like, 100% like that~! xD

It's not just texas, almost the entire south is like that. I went to Missouri and was creeped out by the amount of rebel flags infesting that place.

I always wondered why America's glasses represent Texas. Anything to do with ppl believing that b/c Texas was once an independent republic it could still, if it wanted to, leave the union? Who knows.

Indeed. I grew up in Houston, which is its own subculture. XD It's amazing that I managed to keep the Midwestern accent that my parents have, instead of being run over by the Texas drawl.

Really? Oh, the things we learn via Hetalia...

[identity profile] sairei.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a Texan, but since I live in a suburb of Houston, I don't see much "rebellion". The farther west you go it gets to be more like you say. We are pretty independent and proud of our state, though. xD

[identity profile] anasyrma.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL did you now that we also have to say our own pledge of allegiance after the United States' every day in school~*~. Apparently that is surprising? I JUST KINDA GREW UP WITH IT.

This is really cute! I like how Texas' ghostly spirit... things are STARS!!1!

SUP. I'm from "The... Sugar". I actually have no idea how these nicknames work. "H-TOWN" is as far as I know. :'C

[identity profile] sairei.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I understand what you mean. xD I've been to the other states and kind of gawked at the number of people who were still clutching their Confederate flags.

[identity profile] sairei.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Sugarland, right? The Woodlands, here. I wonder if other cities have nicknames? I don't keep up with them, really. .-.

[identity profile] anasyrma.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
AHAHAHA, awww. As opposed to the people who come in from different states and look all confused when the Texas flag pledge comes on LOL.

And now we do a MINUTE OF SILENCE thing, and the entire process takes a million years, sob.

aaww cute

I like to think of the states as america's state of mind plus he has 50 outfits for each one! ^^

[identity profile] anasyrma.livejournal.com 2009-03-13 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup! The one that likes to copy the Woodlands a lot - I mean, what. I'm sure Austin has a nickname though, what with how eccentric it is.
