I realise things like this don't matter to foreigners, but they are a big issue here in Spain. He should try to be more careful about this, like he was letting Germany not wear the swastika. I realise there hasn't been an American movie that showed Franco's uniforms, but c'mon, Himaruya-sensei, I expected better

I didn't find any picture about the Legion in Franco's era, so I don't know if they're similar or not, but look at these two pictures about the modern legion:

I don't think Himaruya would overlook such an important thing, such as avoiding certain uniforms/ offensive symbols like the swastika (Or at least I hope he continues to do so) ^^ Like they said above, it's a modern uniform :)

I think those uniforms had two rows of buttons, stiffer shoulders with more ornament, and different hats. This is just a modern Legion uniform. :3

I've been studying Spanish History all day non-stop, and just when I decide to take a break I get to see this!!! Oyabun soooo cuteeeee!!!!!! >/////<

Also, this will officially be my last history exam until...probably forever. I have to admit History became much easier to understand with Hetalia ^^ I've had some great laughs and weird looks during the most boring of classes thanks to this series, so yeah, I adore Hima-papa <3

Sara; you're mistaking things. The Legion is a modern elite from Spanish Army, even if ist past History is very related to Franco era, today it's just a part of the Army. In National Day Parade you can see legionarios with their particular fast way to march.
