Cultural Note for "The Story of China and Teensy Japan"

I just made a correction to the translation. In the strip where China is backstabbed by Japan, he calls Japan to come in and eat because he's just finished making some rice dumplings.

I came across this by accident. This is a famous song about rice dumplings in Chinese Min-nan dialect by Teresa Teng.

P.S. No political debate pls. I simply like to eat zongzi.

Once when I was a kid, and they were *so good*. I'm going to buy some tomorrow at the 99.

粽子... *drool* But what I really, really miss is the tang yuan. I haven't had that in ages. Thanks a lot for the info and the song! =D

Haha. When I was young, I used to do that too. XD It's so hard to get it now that we're in Canada, though. >_

I'm in Calgary, Alberta. @_@ Nothing much goes on here. Personally, if you want to move, I say DO IT!! There aren't enough APH fans here. XD I haven't found a single one, so I have to make do with trying to convert my friends. =P

YES, I SAW THAT STRIP. It's too true. XD The first time I went to Vancouver, I was so surprised by how many Asians there were since I just thought that it would be mostly white.

LOL I haven't really been to many parts of Canada, but I know Vancouver has a lot and the take over of Calgary is just beginning. >3 Most of the people are from Hong Kong and Mainland. Not that many from Taiwan, I don't think.

Being the only Asian around isn't really fun, but then again, having too many of them makes you feel stupid sometimes because most of us seem to ace our classes. XD
