Minor question (Dub release)

There doesn't seem to be much info about what happened at the Hetalia World Series premiere at Otakon on ANN, but apparently the third series will feature a purple bandana and be released this winter. That seems to suggest that there will be only ONE WS set. Does that mean all fifty-odd episodes are featured on one release? And is there any word on whether the extra episodes will make it on to disc?

(PS: What WAS the "surprise" at the end that Funimation was hinting at? Does anyone know?

I don't think they can fit 50-something episodes onto one disc, so maybe they just meant the first half of World Series?

Funi never releases 50-something episodes all at once. They'll most likely do their 13 episodes a boxset like usual.

The "Surprise" was probably either the Jonathan Brooks video (voice of Prussia) or the release date for Paint It White (11/22/11). Or the cast announcement (Which was posted on here before).

Yeah, I was at the panel, and I'm surprised there aren't more people talking about it. It was epic... it's weird that there aren't a thousand memes from it already.

I just assumed that the attendees were still recovering from jet lag. Stranded on the wrong side of the Atlantic, I look forward to the ANN coverage of these things since I can't go myself, but there was very, very little on the site, despite the odd complaint that the convention was supposedly turning into "HetaCon."

They put up a brief report on the press screening of PIW, although the reviewer didn't seem terribly impressed. Did they showcase any new voices on the WS dub?

From what I know of they are breaking up season 3 and 4. At least that's the impressions I got while sitting at the panel.

Well, in terms of the panels... like last year, FUNi brought over a bunch of Hetalia people, and had a big panel/premier.

Yeah, I try looking up news about Hetalia from Otakon and I can't find anything. I guess they meant the first half of the World Series, and the next half will come later? I'll wait until a video pops up on youtube or somewhere of the event I guess.

Just to clear up what they will be releasing for season three, it will be episodes 53-78. While they have no preview up, and I have no idea what was shown at Otakon, they have that listed on their website for the third season.

Still curious about the epicness that was Otakon though.

I actually asked Charlene Ingram, the brand manager for Hetalia, that very question, and she confirmed they will be separate releases.
