What are your top favorite hetalia episodes? And in the manga?
So, my older cousin wants to get into Hetalia (and possible draw pictures for it which gets me excited since she is an incredible artist). She said to choose five episodes and or manga stories to show her so she can figure out whether she'd like to watch it . I want to get the opinion of the Hetalia community on what the top episodes are! More then five welcomed :) I was thinking of the Liechtenstein episode and America's storage closet one but not sure what others would be good to show her.

Though not in English... he's kind of a dick in the English dub and it takes so much away from his adorableness...
In all seriousness, I like the episodes that have the most drama. So I'd say the Liechtenstein backstory and America's Storage room episodes are my personal faves.
However, these stick out the most to me because the whole show is crack, and these specific episodes are tiny snippets of drama and backstory that give these silly characters some personality. If you're introducing someone to Hetalia, I'd start with one of the beginning episodes (Ep 1 might be a little hard to use as an intro, though, since everyone talks a mile-a-minute in the beginning) so they can know what they're getting into. To show the awesome drama stuff first is kinda false advertising.

I also recommend the Chibitalia episodes, the Christmas 2010 Event, the April Fools 2011 comics, and the episode with the Pact of Steel between Italy and Germany.

You get a good balance of drama, epic and comedy from those 3, actually 5 since ASRM and WoAS are doubles.
And yeah what kyoko said don't make the English dub the first thing she see O.o I love it and all, but it will scare new people. I hope you can successfully convert her ^w^
