Russia Uniform Morphing? *sob*

Hi everyone,

 

I was wondering if anyone could clarify for me what uniform Russia is wearing in this art (the red and black coat at the end of this entry), if this was ever done by Himaruya or if it's purely fanart, etc. I originally thought it was his 1905 uniform but when I compared the strip it's completely different.

Also, where does everyone get the color scheme idea for Russia's Bloody Sunday coat? Why the navy/cream? Is that historical, fanon, or Himaruya?

It would help to see what image you're talking about, but from what I've seen, Russia has appeared in what seems to be the bloody Sunday uniform in a few strips, like here -> http://aph.starry-sky.com/russ.html
The Bloody Sunday uniform is only worn around WW1 in the time line of the story.

It's established that Himaruya takes some artistic license with uniforms. The Uniform in the "Bloody Sunday 1905" strip would have been in "Czar's Green," a deep, bluish-green color. The Russian military wore that color until 1914.

I see. Is the red and black uniform a purely fanmade version, then? Or is it something that has basis in history or fanon?

Possibly. Maybe they picked colors they liked? Don't think it's anything to be concerned about.
