I got my Hetalia DVD's today, and went straight to Extra features :D

Found awesome commentaries, and this is one of my favorites. It has Eric Vale and Japan's voiceactor (whom I forgot the name of >>)

They're hilarious. I love Eric so much <3

Also, I filmed with the cellphone, but the sound is pretty good. Just a warning.

Watching this and listening to what they are saying it makes me wonder.

Do the voice actors even like dubbing Hetalia? Or just Hetalia in general?

Me too. I know they are just joking around but we have to accept that some actors probably are not interested in the series enough like us fans to go and dig deep around the historal connections to each clip. Plus they don't part-take in informative discussions in places in LJ either to know more beside what they see in the clip. If I don't read discussions, I don't get many of the clips either.

I wonder the same thing, but I basically think they enjoy it as a job. I mean, like, one can say that a teacher enjoys their job teaching, but in their free time I don't think they're going to run and go teach. These guys made their jobs dubbing shows like this, and while they obviously have an interest in it and a love for it, it's not something they're going to make a hobby out of, I guess?

At cons, they usually say that yes, they love their job because a lot of them are history nerds and anime fans, so combining that together is just a lot of fun for them.

But they'd probably get bludgeoned by the fangirls if they said they didn't like it, so who know? Maybe they're lying.
