The massive shocks had startled him, knocking him from his chair at the meeting with his bosses. He knew something was wrong immediately. The shocks kept coming, and he dived under the table with the rest of his officials.

When they emerged from under the table, the meeting room was a mess. Paper was strewn everywhere, glasses had fallen from the table and smashed on the floor, and chairs had tipped over. Something was very, very wrong in Japan today. It had been something the small Asian man had been expecting for a long time. It was the dreaded, anticipated earthquake. They'd been expecting it for decades, but they were still shaken (ha ha, no pun intended) by the days events.

There was still more to come.

Mere hours later, a massive tsunami hit the coast of his country. It destroyed everything in it's path; small, rural houses, boats, even people. The waves were huge, and nobody could stop them. Not even nations can stop nature once it starts to take it's course. As Japan and his officials sat down to discuss the emergenccy situation with the earthquake, another man in a business suit came rushing into the room.

“We must switch on the television right now!” he shouted.

Finding a television controller, the man switched on the conveniently placed television in the corner of the room, and managed to find a news channel. The BBC. England was already reporting on the situation. The shakey videos showed the colossal tidal waves crashing, destroying. The officials in the room found it horrifying. Worried for their country, they turned around to face Japan. He seemed deep in thought.

“Wrow,” he said, staring at the footage, shocked.

“I wrish I had blought a sulfboald, dis wrould have be rearry fun to lide.”

He quickly ran to find his cellphone, desperate to call his friends. He didn't know if Germany was a man for surfing, but he was sure Italy would enjoy looking at all the sealife now covering his villages. They could perhaps even make a raft out of the plentiful driftwood- just like old times.
