I come once again with a cosplay question or two.

I've posted in the past with several cosplay questions; now I have a really weird one.

I ordered what I thought was a large England cosplay last month and got it last week. Only, it's not a large at all. The shirt and jacket fit, but they're snug. My problem is the pants. I can't even get them on. For reference, I'm an American size 16, which is average. The pants look to be maybe a size 8/10. I'm going to do my best to lose as much weight as I can before Fanime comes this summer in May, but I'm most likely not going to fit into those pants. So, more experienced England cosplayers. What would you do in my situation?

The only thing I can think of is to buy a pair of pants that fit me and dye them green, but I'm worried about the color not matching.

Send them back and demand the size you ordered?

And If you can't send it back you can bring the pants to a shop and tell them to make it bigger. I had a similar problem with my England jacket (but in my case It was big and I needed a smaller one) I bring it to a shop and they made a good work! So you can try it too ^^

That doesn't usually work if you need it to be bigger since the fabric would be to small... unless the shop has a very similar fabric.

I don't know if they can do that with pants if they're smaller though...I've never cosplayed....yet, but when I went to a tailor to get one of my shirts altered, they couldn't because it was too small.

I see :/ ... so You should send it back then (but You can search a similar fabric anyway, you won't lose nothing trying it ^^) because in my case the If I wanted to send it back I had to pay the shipping price -about 20€ in total-

I work in clothing retail. American Size 14/16 is considered an XL size. 10/12 is considered Large.
Also sometimes clothing is smaller depending on cut. You should always get measured and (hopefully they have measurements they use).. order according to that.

I would return the items and get another size. (if possible) If you dye the clothing it may not match.

I just sent the seller an email asking if I could return it, but I don't think they'll let me, since it's been a week. I'm one of those people who won't send anything back if it's the wrong order, be it food at a restaraunt or a cosplay costume. I don't want to inconvenience anyone, I guess. I'm strange, I know.

I don't know what possessed me to order a L. I guess I'm in denial about my weight, but I'm not obese.

I just sent the seller asking if I could return it, but since it's been a week, I don't know if I can. Looks like I'll be selling an unused England cosplay in the near future. :/

I ordered it on eBay, and with shipping it was just shy of $100. If you could order pants in a different size, that would be sweet. :)
