Need help with a project

I’m doing a project for college where we’re meant to do something to show the everyday life of a character, and I plan to do a short comic about America’s life in the Hetalia world. So, could anyone link me to some articles that are about past US news and events and to do with America and the other nations? I say in the past because I don’t want to do anything recent because of some sensitive subjects, like with Libya and Japan for example. I would prefer if the articles were of something that I could turn into light hearted humour.

Mods, if this isn’t allowed then feel free to delete and I’ll ask somewhere else instead.

Do you mean that it has to be a comic with good humour about the history of USA? It looks funny, I think you should start with the present day (america talking about the crisis) and then do a flashback with events like:

The Independence (It's easy to turn that in humour xD)
Wild west
Gold fever
Crack 29
War(?)
First flight with an airplane
Cold war and race to the moon

This are some ideas, The articles can be found easily on google. I hope this help you a little 8'D

Ah! Like... "I wake up in the morning and I eat for breakfast 3 hamburgers"(?)
But if it's everyday life you couldn't make big jumps in time no? (like passing the independence to the cold war) so the characters have to interactive and mention that events, right? @_@

yeah, I love their hate/competence relationship xD

Yes, he is the hero, sure, sure -taps her shoulder- xD
Yeah, i think It's a great idea and project if you do it well ^^
Hmm and what do you think if you start with all nations arguing with america because of Wikileaks? (lol, It's an actual new everyone knows about xD) and then they remember america all things he did (his errors, funny facts, epic things...(??) xD)

Haha -imagines america going fanboy- xDDD in real he loves pink magazines

Are you going to post your comic here? I'd love to see it~~.
I like the idea about America and Russia arguing about the moon race, too, by the way. XD Sounds like it could be hilarious. There's a few things in the past that could potentially be amusing interactions with the other nations. Another example is that (whenever it was announced, earlier in the year I think,) when the royal wedding in the UK was announced, we became obsessed with it out here. It trumped everything in the news, important or not, for quite some time. And every time a new update is made we get excited all over again.

Also, the Obamas were NOT INVITED to the Royal Wedding. There is a comic in there!

It's okey. XD I'm interested in reading the comic for the story you create and not just the drawings~.
Yeah! And yeah, Obama wasn't invited. And the whole country was mixed between "QAQ WHY NOOOOT?!?!" and "Awww... TT_TT". XDD That might be because he didn't go out to a fancy dinner with England's prime minister the last time the guy visited. (He [the Prime Minister] was mad though... I facepalmed when I read that even though Obama got a really nice gift from the UK's prime minister, he only gave some cheap DVDs in return. I'd be like, "I know you're sick, but... really?!" too. ORZ) He IS going all fanboy! :'D I couldn't believe how crazy the news was going over it when I was watching it, or maybe I could because it IS America... XDD And my mom always had the BEST things to say about it, too (or anything having to do with these two).
