Oh gosh, that is horrifying D: I believe an episode of Pokemon got banned/never aired in Japan once, because of a bad earthquake...I don't think that'll happen here though. Why did I bring it up then?!

Ok I was losing faith in this comm when I saw no comments about how dramatic and super manly and sexeh Germany is looking. He lookin' FINE.

As I posted in the entry, I do believe it's A Battlefield's Kickoff, based partially on the preview pic and partially on a previous entry showing designs of Germany and England from that strip. The good news is that it is a bit more serious fluff, and major heartwarming moment from WW I. (I'm mostly looking forward to a sweet moment punctuated with footballs to the face, so to me it's all good.)

I would be so happy if it weren't for the timing. I know Studio Deen couldn't avoid it but still. Otherwise I am glad that the kickoff strip is going to be animated. I think that's a nice ending for this season. Oh Seychelles Why did they make you white. Seriously the only character Deen left alone in terms of skin color is Cuba which is weird. Why was he left unchanged?

It does leave things on a very uplifting note. :)

Because characters are either black or white (see the guy in episode 26), shades inbetween are mysterious colors.

Thanks for answering my question. I also agree that ending the series with that comic strip is a good choice. Season four was good and while Deen cut out the juicier parts of certain strips...(still not forgiving them for cutting out Germany's shower scene!) but I am glad for the run I received. Hopefully the franchise gets another season.
