Oh, for so many reasons. I think I'm biased, though. My friends back then hated Taichi and adored Yamato, so I was super-aware of all his faults that might have been easier to ignore if no one had glorified him and bashed my favorite at the same time. He's... such a Rei Hino. I can't stand this sort of friendship where one character gets treated like an idiot by the other (and worse, by way too many fans!) for being cheerful and positive. Just so not my thing. ;_;
