It's Fugusama.

...

...WHO THE FUCK IS THIS.

[identity profile] kisekichibi.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 10:34 am (UTC)(link)
OH SHIT...

I considered the possibility since he called "Fukushima" something weird before but...

Fukushima-san.

...HIMARUYA.

I'm confused now! That means Homare (who represents Fukushima) is Aizu-han (in Hetalia canon), yet we have a "Fugusama" here!?

[identity profile] kisekichibi.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 10:39 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, of course! It could mean the city of Fukushima (hell no am I going to bother reading that text). Dammit Japan and their samenamecity, samenameprefecture.

It's possible that Himaruya modeled Fugusama after his teenage self since he's from Fukushima! Fugusama-san looks generic enough and like Himaruya's old self-portraits!

...Never mind he's holding an Akabeko. Prefecture-han alright.

A prefecture of Japan is like a state of the United States.

[identity profile] elysiumspirit.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
Please don't hotlink the actual image. Screwy things happen when you do. D:

Just save it and upload it on Photobucket or something.

[identity profile] youngforever07.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 10:28 am (UTC)(link)
It says Page not Found.

[identity profile] kenichi-bokushi.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 10:39 am (UTC)(link)
He made his home prefecture, if my fail!Japanese didn't fail me this time!

...Please ignore my while I continue confusing myself. @_@

I suppose what the prefectures Kitakou/Barjona characters represent must be different from the Hetalia personifications then. He did mention once that Kyoto and Tokyo were Japan's body parts or something.

But I'm just gonna continue confusing myself.
fh14: (Yamato Noto-sama 1 [Kitayume])

Y U TRYING TO LOGIC?

[personal profile] fh14 2011-02-14 02:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Himaruya: As long as its cute, logic need not apply.

Quick, super rushed translation:

(from the left side of the bottom row)

Found out as a citizen of the prefecture by their pronunciation of "~desukedo."

(Note: the o at the end seems to be drawn out.

"~nan desukedo"

(by the arrow) Sometimes... (Aaagh, Himaruya, I can't read your handwriting here... Maybe someone else can? )

The instant you're turning toward the television, they run away.

(now from the top down)

Fukushima-san (Note: the furigana reads Fugusuma, probably referring to a local accent.)

((Oh, ack, I'm out of time! I'm translating this from my phone, so it took longer than expected. Comment to remind me to finish translating later if no one else picks up the task. Also, since this is rushed, there may be mistakes. Argh...))

[identity profile] kisekichibi.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
He called it Fuguama before though, if I remember correctly...

[identity profile] moyakite.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Um. Where? And do you mean Fugu-sama? That would be a shortened form of Fugusuma-sama, I think. That's my best guess, anyway.

I have to go get ready for work soon, or I'd continue the translation. Sorry for the delay~...

[identity profile] kisekichibi.livejournal.com 2011-02-15 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
http://kieeeeeeeeeeeeeeehimaruyahidekaz.tumblr.com/post/1348973400/the-prefecture-of-fukushima-has-created-a-poster

Can't seem to find the original post but he DEFINITELY called it Fuguama before.

And oops I derped in the morning Fugusuma not Fugusama derp.

[identity profile] y4nderenka.livejournal.com 2011-02-15 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
That's not an "a." It's a "su" in Himaruya-sensei's, er, unique handwriting. xD So, that says Fugusuma, too.

あ=a
す=su

Only Himaruya-sensei has the magical power to make the two look similar.

[identity profile] kisekichibi.livejournal.com 2011-02-15 09:18 am (UTC)(link)
I FEEL... orz orz orz NOW.

He deleted the original post... (Well the one with the drawing in it anyway. The one announcing Fukushima Mirai says Fugusuma so.)

His シ looks like a smiley face too. :'D

[identity profile] moyakite.livejournal.com 2011-02-15 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahh, that explains the confusion! Okay. I only saw it as a su...

...Has anyone actually finished the translation? Or should I finish it after class?

[identity profile] spaghettifelice.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
By the arrow, it says he's an occasional (something) reporter.
I still can't read it ;;

[identity profile] moyakite.livejournal.com 2011-02-15 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
His handwriting makes translations a real task... But I enjoy Hetalia too much to complain (often). Thank you for deciphering one more word!

[identity profile] nuitfroide.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
-_- And here I thought it might be Ireland or Scotland.... I mean, he has Iggy-Brows!

[identity profile] fmavatard.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Is that a piggy he's holding? =D Aaw.

[identity profile] kisekichibi.livejournal.com 2011-02-15 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
S'a cow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akabeko). :D

[identity profile] fmavatard.livejournal.com 2011-02-15 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
Oh...okay. Still aawing. XD

[identity profile] rhambling.livejournal.com 2011-02-14 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
OH GOD.

Oh Himaruya...

[identity profile] y4nderenka.livejournal.com 2011-02-15 05:51 am (UTC)(link)
"Fugusuma" is "Fukushima" in the dialect that they use there. ^^

It's the dialect that Sweden uses, hence the Su-san glare. xD
