Asia Family and the North American Twins

Just some fanarts I drew today.

Warning- completely platonic relationships being displayed.

Seriously if countries thought of themselves more as these huge groups of families and friends the world would be a better place. Also, I know, there are ALOT more asian countries out there but I just did a few. If you can't recognize them T_T.

Taiwan, Hong kong (seriously im confused about his existence he's not a part of mainland china but he's still considered to be china right? Whatever his hetalia personafication is cute so I drew him), China, Japan, Vietnam (my girl). North Korea and South Korea. I got tired at this point so I apologize if they didn't turn out so good. In hetalia theres only one but I wanted to do two since they could probably be considered the only canon siblings on this entire thing.

Theres a ton of bad blood between these countries (more then I'm aware of im sure) but at the same time I'm also positive that they probably share a lot of similar histories and cultures.

Hopefully the Asian world will one day see past their differences and embrace the things they have in common...aha.

Also, how could I draw hetalia families and not include these two?!

Despite our differences you know you love us Canada!
I read somewhere (lol wikipedia) that we share one of the longest if not the longest (I forget) borders in the world and its a pretty darn peaceful one at that. So props to us!

There have of course been some conflicts before. Canada burned down our white house and during the time of manifest destiny we most likely gave them some funny looks. You know small stuff like that. Despite our differences you know you love us Canada!

Come on though compared to Asia? Compared to EUROPE?! We've done pretty well. Although the other families have like a thousand years on us so give it time...

Broken LJ cut ;_; (Otherwise, you have just made me want to hug someone *hugs you*)

Ah, no longer broken <3

My love for pressing F5 is so great it knows no boundaries.... (that and that I clicked the wrong tab when trying to save my poor soul of losing a game).

It would be nice if family gathered once at least under a severe abuse of valium.

Hey now don't start stereotyping.
We're both huge countries there's no way you've met all of us.

Let's try to find some common ground to learn to love each other.
Accomadation not seperation or assimilation.

Here's to hoping for world peace. If not, then maybe in one continent of something.

Hey, I know I love Canada.

dude, my family settled Canada, I have to love him x3 Oh, this may not count, but you can't forget the Bloodless Aroostoock War! In which there were fatalities, but no actual fighting 8D *needs to do a comic about that*

We only burnt down your White House because you burnt down York (Toronto) first....

[identity profile] naturekid567.livejournal.com 2009-02-26 01:23 am (UTC)(link)
Yah and that's why we know not to mess with Canada.

We tease each other but no American ever wants to get in a fight you guys.
Your way to scary when you want to be XD

[identity profile] rosiael.livejournal.com 2009-02-26 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
You guys are so close to each other, you get mistaken and taken as being one and the same... that shows just how much more similar and more at peace you are with each other, than any of the other borders in the world. XDDDD

This Mexican-American loves Canada~<3

;3

Cute pose you gave them, too.

Weeeell even if there's the slight chance that we love you, WE'LL NEVER SAY IT. :D

It's so funny you mentioned the border thing, my Japanese teacher was talking about it in class the other day, how it's just one reaaally long straight line, and how crazy that is because such a borderline is crazy everywhere else, that and security along the border is so lax LOL

Actually, we are very proud that we burned down the White House, how many countries can make that claim? XD only we don't brag about it in our national anthem, like how a certain brother makes references to rockets aimed at Toronto

Heh. As I see it, this TOTALLY trumps TP'ing the White House.

[identity profile] hagane-no-mame.livejournal.com 2009-02-26 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
err.. I fail, I should have said it like this:

we don't make references to the war of 1812, in which Alfred burned and looted Toronto and Matt/Arthur retaliated by burning Washington, in our anthem like Alfred does

The rockets aimed at Toronto thing is a shameful mistake on my part >.< I actually heard it from someone... who apparently is not very credible because the "rockets" mentioned were actually from the British forces x_x

Aww, we may complain about America a lot, but deep down we still love you. And burning down the white house is one of the biggest Canadian accomplishments, and we say it every time an American bugs us. "well at least we burned down your white house" lol
