Yes, I would have also peferred if he had picked up an Italian name instead tahn the English variation of an Italian name that's almost fallen out of use.
Same goes for Feliciano. True, Feliciano exists as Italian name, but it's almost not used anymore. On internet web you can find 'popularity lists' and 'popularity levels' for names. I would have apprecciated if he had checked them before giving to the characters representative of Italy names that aren't used or are nearly not used in Italy.
Was it so difficult for him to name Italy, Italo?
It's not a name I like but... well, undoubtely it's Italian and fitting for the representation of Italy...
