At last, after weeks of working on this guy (he is a delinquent afterall, I should have seen this coming!), I finally completed him today!  This journal entry has lots of images, may take time to load!



Ahoy me hearties and all that rot under this cut

This is a commission for GothicVampire Girl on deviantart.com, who requested me to make
a plush doll of "Pirate UK" when she met me at the previous London MCM Expo.  I was really excited to make this, but without further ado:
         

He stands at 17 inches (43cm) tall, and has clothing that makes him look more like the King of The Seven Seas rather than Jack Sparrow! As well as a velvet hat and coat, Pirate UK has a sword on his hand and pistol (it;s in a pouch on his left leg).  The doll is made from  felt, velvet, ribbon, sequinns, craft gemstones, feathers, spandex (the sword), vinyl (the belts), lace (his neck-tie) , buttons with an Anchor design, and 2 emboidered patches (the anchor on his back and the Skull & Crossbones on his hat).  He was hand and machine sewn.

It's been hardwork but I love this character so much, I've been making another Pirate UK alongside this one - they have the same design, but the second one is bigger!  I 'm aiming to complete him in time for the London MCM Expo in October - I hear rumours that it will fall on Hetalia Day? (30-31st October)

Thank you and thanks very much for the information! It's a shame the convention falls outside of Hetalia Day, but I'm sure something Hetalia related will happen at the convention anyway (there were loads of Hetalia Cosplayers at the same event in May alone, it was mad!) :D
