[Roleplay] Change the World

Welcome to We All Want to Rule the World, a Hetalia Roleplay. We are a serious, historical based roleplay that rethinks the role of national personifications in World War Two.

June 28, 1914.

The assassination of an archduke sets off the spark that off an event known as the Great War, otherwise known as World War I.

Four years of fighting pass before an armistice brings the end of combat. Six months later, the signing of the Treaty of Versailles signifies the official end of the war. A treaty should be a good thing, right? In this case, it was a good thing, but only for the Allies.

This so called “compromise” was hardly a compromise at all. The Allies came to the conclusion that Germany held the blame for the entire war. Not only that, but the country (already in debt) had to pay an ungodly amount of reparations, and the army was depleted.
This didn’t sit very well with the people of Germany. Today, there’s an accurate saying WWII was started: the seeds of WWII were planted in WWI.

Two decades pass.

A war ravaged, poverty stricken nation somehow manages to recover. The country industrializes, the army is and a charismatic, albeit insane man climbs his way to the top and becomes the leader of Germany, or as he liked to call it, the Third Reich.

September 1, 1939

Germany invades Poland. Allied forces mobilize. World War II begins.
Some countries take sides with Germany, some adamantly choose to remain neutral, and the rest want one thing, and one thing only: to put Germany in its place.
Welcome to [livejournal.com profile] changedworldrp a brand new, although active roleplay, where we explore the reactions of nations during a time of crisis such as WWII.
So, where do you stand?
