A relatively-new rp group (with lotsss of open spots)!

This is a mature (in several senses of the word) forum, mostly set during WWII.

TL:DR in bold!

These are basically just the rules, more info on the group and how to join after this.

1. No transformations (genderbends, chibification, mpreg, animal transformations, etc.)

2. Adult characters only, please, unless your characters is canonically that young. So, Sealand can be a minor, but Alfred or Ludwig can't. No chibis, please - because the last thing we need is a hole in the space-time continuum because someone meets their chibiself 8D

3. No glaring anachronisms. While no one expects encyclopedic knowledge of history, please no glaring errors - plasma screen tvs in the 1940s, that sort of thing. If someone corrects you, be gracious. If you don't believe them, look it up - and if they're wrong, correct them back! But try not to be mean about correcting people, since that violates rule four.

4. Be nice. If you feel like you're having a problem, talk to an admin. If you're having a problem with a mod, talk to a different admin. If you're having a problem with all the admins, that's kind of sad. Hopefully we'll have a system in place soon for handling that kind of problem as well.

5. READ THE BACKGROUND INFORMATION. You absolutely must read the forum background before you join. There are some characters we will not be using - mostly the chibis, but also some others. If you apply for a character we do not want, your account will be deleted. We'll do our best to email you an explanation, though, and you can always apply for a character we do accept.

6. Para-style rping only on this website. As far as posting style, this is a paragraph-style roleplay site. If you're not sure what that looks like, check out my rp with Matthew here. If you want to do sentence fragment/script-style rp and have it be forum canon, please exchange contact information with those you wish to rp with and do so through another channel. Just post a summary of what happened in the forum canon section.

7. No god-modding! This should be obvious, but don't godmod or assume things about other characters. If you want a complicated backstory for Gilbert and there is no Ludwig yet...then go ahead. But if you're Ludwig joining in later, try to talk it out with Gilbert before you get too specific. Just because you came first doesn't mean you can't compromise, either - be polite and considerate to other rpers, please.

8. You must be AT LEAST 16 to join, if you plan to roleplay sex. There have been problems on other forums about this. I do not want problems. I do not want to get arrested. Please do not lie about this, people can get in actual legal trouble. I apologize if you want to join and are under 16. We might be able to figure something out for you that doesn't involve sex.

If someone starts pressuring you for sex and you feel uncomfortable, talk to me (Alfred/USA) or a different admin (Matthew/Canada), because consent OOC is a serious issue. Consent IC is up to the rper, though.

9. Read the sample intro before posting your own

This isn't a rule, just a note of explanation. The reason you need an admin (that's me or Canada, right now) invite or to audition is because this is a serious, mature topic (and it will probably have gay sex and incest and torture and all kinds of things rated R) and we don't want people who are going to make Holocaust jokes and be asses. If you do get accepted and I later find out you make racist comments OOC or offend people on purpose or do anything not in the spirit of having fun with a history roleplay, I do not guarantee you will have a warning. You will get an explanation before you are banned, but that may be all you get. As someone who would have been killed in the Holocaust had I been alive and in Germany at the time, I take this very seriously.

In other words, in addition to "be nice" - try not to make others uncomfortable.

If a name has a strikeout through it, that means it is currently claimed. Names that I post in a reply to this post are all the characters we will not accept. If I've neglected a character you desperately want to play, let me know, and we'll see if we can fit it into the forum canon.

A note to characters interested in sibling relationships - you can find ways to explain the different last names, or you can agree on using one for both of you. Me and Matty split up when our parents did, and he took Mom's name - that sort of thing.

*Feliciano was killed in Mengele's experiments. Please do not ask to roleplay him. And don't... complain that he isn't around, either.
**please note, Finland fought for the Axis nations. I had no idea about this until I started researching stuff for Hetalia, so don't apply and then get caught off guard by it.

The forum is located at worldwarhetalia.forumotion.com/ but registering is monitored. We won't approve you if we haven't had correspondence beforehand.

THAT SAID, we aren't really as uptight as these rules make us seem. We just know that we're focusing on a specific part of war that sometimes hurts people, because it's relatively recent and we know people who were in the war.

We will probably, at some point, try out WWI and (maybe) a hypothetical WWIII.
