That was an INCREDIBLE comeback by Jason Lezak.  I think for future reference, favorites to win should NOT claim they will smash anything or anyone (America --> Australia, anyone?).  And France, that's what you get (that's right, keep looking stupefied).  Never underestimate an American's determination to be the best =Db

Incredible 4x100 relay followed by a shower of medals today: 3 golds, 2 silvers, 2 bronze across 4 events.  Hell yes.

On a side note, <3 Aaron Peirsol.  So very much the image of the laid-back, beach bum-y Cali kid.

After they realized they secured the bronze for Men's Gymnastics, Horton told the camera something along the lines of, "This is what it's all about America! blah blah We're ttly going to jump into the Yangtze tonight!" Or something like that. XD Basically it was really cute.

And I was hoping he did. |D
