[Crafts] A Funimation Postcard in Cross-Stitch w/Pattern Provided
Title: My Funimation Postcard Entry, Or How I Wasted the Past Two Weeks and Learned That Cross-Stitch Could Be Painful to One’s Arms
Author/Artist: me

Character(s) or Pairing(s): England
Rating: G
Warnings: Lots of tiny, tiny stitches
Summary: England is cross-stitched one over one on 32-count evenweave linen with DMC thread.
The cross stitch pattern was created using this sketch from Himaruya's blog:
Here is England's face before I added the Union Jack background:
And here is the thumbnail for the full size card:
The pattern is 97 stitches wide by 90 stitches high. I stitched this one over over on 32-count evenweave linen, so it would fit Funimation's size limit but you can use whatever size fabric you what. My only suggestions would be three over one for size 14 or 16-count fabric and the standard two over one for size 18 or 22-count fabric. I used DMC thread, but if anyone needs a conversion to Anchor, just let me know!

You said in a comment to someone else that you were thinking about doing a tutorial, and I'd like to say that I would LOVE that!

It will take me some time to design the patterns (small stripes=easy, small maple leaves=hard) so I'll probably post it sometime next week.

I cross stitch too but I can get lazy sometimes so projects just never get completed... XP

She finally finished it today
The picture quality sucks because I took it with my laptop's built in camera. Iggy is on the front and the Union Jack is on the back. I blame the over 100° weather here for the slightly messed up stripes on the flag.
