Summary: Submissions for Funimation's Hetalia fan card contest.
So I got my entries done and mailed off to Funimation ( For $8.00, it better be there within 2-3 days...) I was going to do a bunch of cards but I suck at drawing and the deadline was drawing near. So I had to do finish the one I was still on plus do a " Eric is King" one...
This one started out as one for the Netherlands but ended up drawing Turkey instead. I used pencils, colored pencils and markers for it. I didn't want to do one of Turkey with the national flag behind him but I ended up having to go with it and yes, I know the star and moon is drawn badly. I tried. I also wanted to give Turkey a dark skin tone but when I bought a 72 pack of colored pencils, I couldn't find a color that would give a darker skin tone. I almost used "Sunflower" but it looked too much like a "sickly" green, so I had to opt for a "Flesh" pencil. I also hope that the country motto is correct ( Got it from Wikipedia.) I want to point out that his stubble face was missing because I actually forgot about until this morning. So I had penciled it in before I went to the post office.
I had mention this a while back on someone's post that I was going to do it for my " Eric is King" card. I thought my muses were picking a fight but I just remembered that it's election time here in Florida so it made sense to do a card that you would see in your mailbox... I'm kinda proud of it myself.
