Cosplay Help - Pirate England

I'm making a pirate England cosplay and I want to know if there is a definite design for the coat? I've seen blue versions as well as red, some with buttons that go all the way to the bottom of the coat and others that only end at the waist. I've also seen varying designs for the lapels, some with no lapels at all. I need to know before I actually buy the fabric and get started, since I'm a stickler when it comes to accuracy on cosplays. Any help out there or suggstions? Thanks so much!

well there IS an actual design that Himaruya did.... but it was only line art...and my only copy of it is someone that colored it:

I'm a Pirate!UK cosplayer and my interpretation was a red long coat like thingy...

BUT in my preference...you do what YOU like to see in a pirate...what type YOU think UK would be... ect. this is the best part about these ambiguous cosplays you can shape it to you own liking and mostly of the time people in that fandom will know who you are~ :] <3 I wish you good luck and fun an you MUST show picssss QuQ <3

this cool~ it is a good way to work on some kind of a fan base~ if anything u can nit pick certain things you like in certain pics and cosplays and just morph it into your own outfit~ QuQ
