Celebrate America's B-Day in Washington DC!?

I know guys, this is superrrrr late! I'm so sorry! I was orginally going to go to a July 4th Hetalia picnic down in VA, but I was not allowed to drive (because of possible car problems) so now I have turned to the closet place near me.....

Washignton DC!

So first of all, would anyone be interested? It's just a metro ride for me, and it will be my frist time actually THERE IN DC to see the fireworks! *3* (My mom never wanted to go in the past cuz of the crowds)

If so, would you just want to come for just the fireworks, or make it a picnic?

When I lived in DC, I went there for the 4th--you're going to have an amazing time and feel super patriotic :3 Just be careful with the Metro; usually due to the crowds (at least when I lived there) they actually only open 2/3rds of the cars in the train so they don't get over loaded with passengers. Hopefully they run them later than midnight, but check just in case--I almost got stranded trying to make it back to the King St. station @_@

Haha, if the metro is that busy I hope they have the blue train running without delay again. It'll be hours to get there for those of us coming from Springfield to make it into the city if not. I don't even want to think about getting back...

I'd love to go, I'll be in the city on the 4th, but I think I'll be spending most of the time with my family, so I don't actually know if I'd be able to make it. What time are you thinking of doing this?

My sister and I may be able to come; where in D.C. were you thinking of holding the meet?
