[questions] Sealand and Latvia Mascot Confusions/Glitches

 There aren't many journals or info I could find that answer my questions, so I thought it'd be okay to ask them here... 

Like how to connect to the internet and get updates, and how I think they may have deleted/limited the amount of conversation variety when you switch out the japanese and english files...

I'm really hoping to get answers for these, because I really like these mascots and how I really want to see Belarus and why the link to see her is just a 'dummy'  and random fangirl stuff like that.

Okay, here are my questions:

Question 1: I have no idea how to get them connected to the internet. The internet works perfectly fine for me, but it won't connect for them. Help?

Question 2: The link to see Belarus won't work. I know it worked for other people, but Sealand complains about the link being a 'dummy'. Anyone know what happened?

Question 3: I heard some people talk about them saying some things that I never heard, like Sealand talking about Spongebob. Do you think they left those out when making the English translation files or do they just say more stuff as time go on?

You update the mascots via connection to the internet, and this can be done through the menu when the program is running. If it doesn't update it could mean your firewall or system settings is preventing the connection.

There is a link to see Belarus? I heard she appears randomly after you get Russia to appear.

Sealand indeed does mention Spongebob. I don't know if Himaruya is continuing to make updates to the mascots, if not then they probably don't say much else than what you see on their scripts. I don't know if English translations were completed but the last I heard of it translation was done and the files could be run, although some people had trouble with having the program run properly with them.

I don't use the English translations and haven't run the mascots program in a while so I'm not 100% sure about any new changes though.

You will get the option to call Belarus (on Sealand's menu, when you the "call" button) after seeing Russia 15 times upon shutting down the program. It's easy to hit the target if you just keep shutting down the program and re-opening it in order to get Russia to appear.

I'm not sure about the rest of the questions though. If the above has already occurred for you, then I'm not really sure what the problem is.

It's probably my firewall, since it fails right when it starts up, instead of taking a moment to connect to the internet.

After you get Russia to appear 15 times on shutdown, then you have a choice to see Belarus when you ask Sealand to call the others.

Sealand does, but you don't see him say that when using the English translation files. I don't know how to read kanji, so I don't know if Sealand talks about Spongebob in the origional Japanese files or not, so I'm not sure if they say more stuff the more time you have them.

Yeah, I got all that down, but when I click the choice for Belarus, it doesn't work. Sealand complains about the link being a 'dummy', and Latvia says it may be corrected in an update. But since they won't connect to the internet, I can't be sure if it can be corrected or not.

Not exactly an English version of the mascots, but someone translated the files unofficially and opened them up for download.
Then after you download the files, you simply just swap them with the Japanese files, and the mascots use those English files, so they're speaking English.
