[Discussion] Genderbent Headcanon?

Does anyone have any headcanon concerning the genderbending counterparts of the nations (fem!America, male!Hungary, etc)? What are they like? How did their gender effect their involvement with historical events (if it effected them at all)? What was going on in fem!England's head during the women's suffrage movement? How did fem!Russia feel about the Soviet award given to mothers who had ten or more children? How was fem!America involved in her own revolution?

This doesn't have to be historical, I'm just curious about what people think about genderbent nations. Things like their habits, hobbies, how they dress, etc, all are allowed here too. :)

Some examples:
- Russia doesn't think she's very attractive at all, so she doesn't spend much time or energy fussing with her physical appearance...except that she does like to keep her finger and toe nails painted bright red.
- Italy drives Germany crazy when she forgets to wear a bra (which happens about as often as male!Italy forgetting to wear pants. But as it's less noticeable than forgetting pants, Germany sometimes doesn't catch the error until it's too late to send Italy back to find a bra. Germany then has a very hard time focusing for the rest of the day.)
- America pretty much acted like this during the women's suffrage movement:

Fem!America is a huge tomboy. She only recently got into wearing dresses and skirts, and only for formal occasions. During the Revolution, it was no problem signing up in the army because none of her...parts had really come in yet ;)England was always nagging her to start acting like a lady towards the end of British Rule, even forcing her into-GASP!- A CORSET! This was part of the reason she was so glad to leave.

Oh yeah, Italy totally "forgets" to wear a bra. She just wants Germany to have to resort to making sure she's wearing one every morning, if you know what I mean *nudgenudgesnickersnicker*

I think fem!France would be really elegant and fashionable. She'd be all proper and graceful, but secretly a sexual demon. She's a bit of a cougar, and England constantly tells her that her pastimes [preying on younger men] isn't lady-like.

England's a proper lady with a very badassy past. She used to dress up like a man and snuck onto pirate ships before realizing that her place was in the home and that she should be more lady-like. She's very rigid and proper and has a secret love of the occult.

Male!Hungary would be obnoxious and loud and have a secret love of girl on girl action. When he's drunk he randomly stumbles to unsuspecting girls and attempts to get them to make out in front of him. The perv x]

Fem!Switzerland is Heidi (sorry, I had to go there).

Fem!Netherlands is one of the most badass girls you'll ever know, smokes and legalizes a bunch of things without being a total ditz of a country; has a love for flowers since fem!Turkey sent some tulips to Fem!Austria and they began circulating around Europe.

Fem!Spain is a gorgeous natural beauty, goes out at night a lot clubbing, as it is customary and consequently falls asleep in church.

Fem!America has like a belly chain tattoo of the 50 stars around his stomach (i have seen one of them and its amazin) and she hates high maintenance, so she'd rather wear ripped jeans, white tee shirt, with american stripes and star push bra with either hightops, timbland female boots or flipflops or even barefoot. But she loves having jewelry for every occasion and her secret love are Jackie-O glasses.
- for Historical, I definitely see her pretending to be a soldier but being caught by Washington and was than sent to stay with Jefferson and the others, learning more about her future structure of government. And during the 1960's she was definitely one of the women burning her bras and into the whole free love spirit.

This might sound weird but I like to think that fem!Denmark is an exhibitionist and it constantly pisses off Sweden (Both male and female) since he finds it not proper and thinks that Denmark is an idiot for doing it but loves the fact that fem!Denmark is completely comfortable with herself. femDenmark also loves wearing furs of any type... it is something that she has in common with the other Nordics, Russia and the Baltics. They have the largest combined selection of fur.
-for Historical, during the Kalmar Union, Denmark declared herself the King of Northern Europe but the Queen of the Nordics and was the most bitchiest she had ever been, pissing everyone off, evening pissing herself off but as it collapsed and broke apart she relaxed and felt better.

I more or less agree with franceismyhome on fem!England.
She liked to pass as a man from time to time when women didn't have the same rights, especially, and has been on one or two escapades at least. During the Victorian era, however, even when TRYING to be a proper lady, she often found it hard to find escorts for dinner parties or balls and the like, because people found her never aging... odd.
Nowadays, she's a rather proper lady. And probably listens to far too much Gilbert and Sullivan and drinks far too much tea to be quite healthy. She likes to correct everyone in not-quite a Hermione sense, but close.



Fem!Finland gets to deal with "you're not a husband" more than "I'm not a wife". Becuase even genderbent, Su-san can't get it right. XD

THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. My personal theory is Sweden (and Denmark) both thought they were boys a la Hungary for the longest time. Germania's fault, who did it to keep them both safer when they were baby nations under Greater Germania's territory, but never got around to explaining "hey gaiz, you're actually girls" before biting it. Which led to many a hilarious misunderstanding later on. :D

OH GOD. SO MUCH ALL NORDICS HEADCANON...DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'VE UNLEASHED?

First, these are my girl!Nordics (http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/051/6/9/Hetalia_Genderbend_Meme_by_Karahime_CatNoir.jpg), and I literally cannot imagine them any other way now. Visuals aside...

Finland:-Has the largest chest of the 5 Nordics (smaller than Ukraine, but not by much) because according to the most recent stats I could find she has the strongest agriculture of all of them (heh-heh, "strong agriculture" is so my new euphemism for a nice rack), and in Hetaliaverse, good agriculture=boobs. Incidentally, strong technology means the exact opposite, which explains Lichtenstein, girl!Japan, girl!England and why girl!America doesn't have a Ukraine-esque chest-it's somewhat canceled out by her tech. Yes, I have spent WAY too much time thinking about this, why do you ask?
-And while I'm at it, the order for the Nordics in regards to the bust goes 1. Finland, 2. Sweden, 3. Denmark, 4. Norway (sorry, it doesn't count if it's from the ocean, Norge-it's not part of your landmass!), and 5. Iceland.
-Is also the most perverted of the Nordics, she just hides it well. After all, who is going to suspect Santa? However, she claims she isn't because "it's not perverted if it's just for Su-san!". Hee.
-The relationship between herself and Sweden is a lot more open, because frankly who wouldn't want to hit that? *UNF*

Sweden: -Still tall, but being that she's, well, a beautiful woman she's not as intimidating as man!Sweden.
-My headcanon is she and Denmark were both raised as boys by Germania (cos back in the day they both would have in the territory covered by Greater Germania), leading to some confusion when they both got boobs hit puberty. Also why Sweden thinks she's the "husband" and occasionally forgets she can't knock Finland up.
-She's still good at all the Martha Stewart stuff man!Sweden is, but now it's because she feels she's not that feminine and tries to compensate for it.
-Everyone wants girl!Sweden. EVERYONE. This drives Finland up the wall and straight into Simo Hayha mode.

Denmark:-Pretty much the same, but somewhat girlier. :D
-A little self-conscious that Sweden has stronger "agriculture" than she does. Heh.
-They're cousins in reality, but have a relationship more like sisters who always fight. It's more of a friendly rivalry now. Kind of friendly.
-Like Sweden, sometimes forgets she's a girl.
-Is vulnerable to jokes about how...flat...her country is.
-Turns into a major cuddler when drunk.

Norway:-Another one who is pretty much the same because Norge is so girly-looking already-*KILLED*
-Zettai ryouiki sailor uniform.*UNF* Screw historical accuracy!
-Oh the smaller side, "agriculture" wise. All those maritime products don't make a difference there. But she doesn't really care.
-Wears bunny panties. PINK bunny panties. And will kill to keep this a secret.
-Siscon for Ice. So that part is still the same. XD

Iceland:-Takes Finland's place as the shortest Nordic when female (the order from shortest to tallest is Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland). AND the flattest. Bringing this up instantly brings her from cold to hot blooded.
-Wears the Mountain Avens flower in her hair to appear more feminine.
-Also the least perverted and only sane Nordic, who often gets weirded out by the antics of the other four and often goes and drinks her trauma away with Greenland, Faeroe, and Aland. WHO NEED TO BE INTRODUCED, HIDEKAZ.

I love tough but classy lady China. :D So much. But I love strong China in general, no matter the gender. Need more China being strong and defending himself/herself and sticking up for family and not being the delicate, helpless little flower s/he often is in fanfiction. YES.

Fem!Japan has always wanted to have a romantic two-girl friendship, but the other countries always get weirded out by what they see as lesbian overtones, while she's completely oblivious.

America never wears a bra on purpose because she finds them too restricting. It drives Igiko up the wall. She also thinks it's really funny to flip Igiko's skirt up, tease her about her eyebrows, and so on.

Iggy I don't see as ever crossdressing. Even while ruling the high seas, she insisted on the corset and giant skirt, probably using them to hide weapons. She still prefers a skirt suit to pants (old habits die hard).

On a more serious note, China probably had foot binding for the longest time. The only reason she can walk nowadays is the nation's supernatural ability to recover from injuries.

As has been said, Femerica is a huge tomboy. She's really athletic and super into sports. She used to have super long hair that England loved to brush, but she chopped it short during the Revolution (England was really upset about it, more than is rational). The founding fathers tried to keep her off the battlefield but she sneaked out every time. Her most feminine was during antebellum, before the Civil War, but then she really buckled down and started wearing mostly men's clothes.

These days, she has a tattoo of stars in the small of her back and a belly button piercng.

fem!Switzerland is very feisty and still likes her guns, which makes lots of guys (and girls- fem!Austria can't help but notice Swiss's BAMFness) want her, but she doesn't like to get involved because she's always helping out her shy little brother, male!Liechtenstein. Who, by the way, was asked out by fem!Latvia, who is a bit braver than male!Latvia. With the help of her sisters (especially fem!Liet, who is a very sweet girl but also surprisingly fierce) she worked up the courage to ask out male!Liech, even though she was afraid of fem!Swiss.

Also, fem!Estonia is a total geek and has no friends. She spends her days alone with her laptop on Chat Roulette. That was how she met fem!Finland- fem!Sweden and her were in the middle of a makeout session, and fem!Fin thought it would be funny to turn on the webcam and make out in front of total strangers.

fem!Sealand is Igiko's annoying little sister. Igiko thinks fem!Sea-kun is a total brat and is embarrassed whenever she has friends over. fem!Sealand is good friends with fem!Latvia, and they have sleepovers a lot and they like to compare sisters. fem!Finland babysits for fem!Sea-kun while Igiko is away, and she always brings her puppy, male!Hanatamago, for her to play with.

Also, fem!Korea constantly tries to force her hand down her hand down her big sisters' pants. No one understands her strange incestuous obsession with other females' genitals.

For some reason, I totally think of female Germany as a biker chick with high heeled boots and a tight leather jacket. Also, I don't think her hair will be long, but probably not exactly like her male self either. I feel like it'd be a slicked back bob with it curling behind her ears and ending at her jaw. Very slick and badassness.
