Uh...at this point, I have no idea what I am doing or why I am continuing this when I should really be working on the UK/HK book to be sold at Comiket.

Either way, here is the next installment of the "Don't Wait Up" doujinshi that I've been doodling on and off.

Also, still trying to fix that problem with Photobucket.

Title: Don't Wait Up (I really want to change the title now)

Summary: This was drawn as a small response to my own bunny from the America/Russia AU that I had swirling in my brain. Previously UK showed up at the house Russia and America shared, spare key in hand. What will happen!

Also, translations are more like the localized, English script that I had in mind rather than a true translation to the Japanese script.

America: Enough, both of you.
UK: Eh?! You're awake??
America: What'd you expect, with both of you cat-fighting next to my ear.
America: Disregard that...
America: Russia. Open. The. Door.
Russia: ........
SFX: *creak...* *slides* *creeeeeeeeeeeak*

America: --well, there you go! You can go home now, UK!
UK: WHAT!!! Isn't it dangerous?! *jolts*
America: Don't worry. He took his pills, right?
UK: But...
Russia: *mumble mumble*
America: Now then, goodnight.

_{[God, it feels totally anticlimactic and rushed...I should have stuck to my guns and then had Russia pull one out. A gun, I mean. I guess I'll edit that for the to-sell version.]}

SFX: *step step step*
UK: That guy... how many years has it been since he'd made that face...
Russia: "Oh, that family of mine?"
Russia: "That family is dead."
Russia: "...thanks to you..."

UK: That house (Playing House Game) is insane.
America: ...now then. How much did you take?
Russia: ...America-kun wasn't drunk at all, was he...
America: Yeah, well, I just wanted to bum the flight back off of UK. Good...it's just painkillers... DUDE. Did you chug ALL of this?! That's SIXTY DOLLARS WORTH OF PRESCRIPTIONS!!
Russia: .........

You're too hard on yourself with criticism (although that's probably what makes you so good at drawing.)

This story is just so warped that I have to know what's going to happen next. So please continue, if you are able to. But if you have other pressing projects, go deal with them. I think we'll all wait patiently for you to come back to this. ^_^

(Also, if you want a different name for this, might I suggest something along the lines of 'All Things Equal', 'These Ties of Crimson', or 'M.A.D. House' with a play on the name of the movie of similar name & the acronym for Mutually Assured Destruction that I think was a big worry during the cold war. :Is NOT an American history buff.: Sorry for such sucky title suggestions. m(_ _)m )

Yeah, this past week I've only been able to do three pages cuz of work-related issues, but I am very happy to hear that you like the "story" that I have in mind.

By god, I love this doujin way too much. Seriously. The drugs and Ivan's state just makes it so real, and makes Ivan a bit more real, too (my boyfriend is a shrink, and he's been recommending drugs for Russia. XD)

It is so cute when Alfred complained about the painkiller (of all things he could have been worrying in this situation! In a way, it makes me think that "Definitely have been living Ivan for way too long...") and Ivan acting cutely nervous as if he had been caught eating all the cookies in the jar.

All the situations are unhealthy in many ways, but there is somehow a derange sweetness to it.

Hahaha, he's not really complaining about it, but...well, you'll see why he said that line later, in about another two, three installments, maybe? O_O depending on how fast I work. He has been living with Russia for a very long time, though, which makes it slightly easier for him to understand how the routine is. (Wake up, listen to Russia scream, wake HIM up, etc...) Yup, Russia is doing the foot-on-foot thing like a child. I just had to draw that.

I do think it would have followed the tone more if you had Russia pulling the gun out, but this continuation is also very relieving in the way that nobody gets hurt (physically..yet)
(And yes my vote goes to the make out---and I wish I could attend the Comiket so I can buy your lovely works but I live in Vancouver, BC)
I can't wait for the next segment!

I think I would edit it for the gun scene in the made-to-sell version, provided that I can get my hands on a model gun...

(Well, hopefully if I get this done and printed, I will do the same thing I did with my UK/HK doujin and make it available on the comm)

Dammit Russia, don't chug America's money! Li'l random crit here though, it's a bit odd that America's thought bubble is aligned horizontally while the rest are vertical throughout these pages.

America is super cranky cuz he was expecting to come home, have the door be open, and be dropped unceremoniously onto his couch and that's that. Not have his yandere housemate chain the door and chug sixty dollars worth of prescriptions XD;

Hmm, I've thought about that, though actually I think it was more weird that UK's thought bubble was vertical. Originally I had thought of this:
